By 2020, China will be the largest trading partner of every nation in Asia, whereas India and Japan wouldn't even come close.
This year, China is projected to be America's largest trading partner, beating even CANADA and Mexico.... Pretty impressive for a nation 8,000 miles away to be a larger trading partner than your immediate neighbors.
China's clout is felt even when the GDP per capita is less than many of the nation's on Earth. That's the scary part, how much China has potential to grow.
All that 's of course and I think China is moving its way at its own pace as they know very well how to handle their own stuff. Undeniably, not everyone is comfortable in China. By the way, what's your country..? You've read my profile where it says that I have been in China for a while....China's economic dominance is an America-like dream because the money is not only in China even if China has a lot of it. Risign China is a good thing if the Chinese authorities do not get too aloof ...
@christoabbe What are you afraid about? Rising China is a good thing at least balance the world power so that US will not be the only dominating country in the world. Or acts like world police. Looking at history, I would feel safer with China be the leader than other western powers. Who sent troop to bomb and kill people in other countries with a fake execusion? Who colonized other countries in the past and forced others to believe what western powers believe?
@wikct2 agreed. ur so right. when they shelled and bombed afghanistan, they just wanted the fuel resources. its quite worldwidely notorous. i just doubt y US did that though they said america is the free country who supports democratic policy. wat does freedom mean for them? i hate superficial people
@phuditpuangmalai So lets hate America and praise China..? That's a bit of a short view. True that western powers have done horrible things in the past. That is very true and shameful as well. It is time that this record be correctly estimated. America has been an imerial power for long enough and if China can take over in a much smarter way i.e. with a softer approach, then their is no fear of China to be motivated by. The Chinese should probably spend more time explaining this to the world...
@jdemeulenaer123 i said wat i have seen and i know how the nature of wan people is. even in thailand, u guys have messed up my country blocking the development since the period that thailand was stepping up to the fifth tiger in asia, so not just that and more i cant even describe in a day. at least china never spoiled or stabbed in the back like usa did. the past cant be changed but it shows the development of fake. u think we asians cant be big? look the plenty and banal natural resources
@wikct2 Dude China is the number one enemy of Human Rights Groups except possibly N. Korea. Although i do agree with you that a balance of power could definatley be a good thing unless it leads to another cold war D: however China cant economically surpass USA in a short amount of time... maybe by 2050?
@Chubracabra99 This is not true at all. You should give time for this monster Dragon to wake up. Managing 1 billion people is not an easy task and human rights for all may not apply at this time. The Chines now very well how to manage their own population problems (because they are many..) and they are very clear on every aspect of their moving forward and expansion and dominance. Sure not every single Chinese is happy in China, but lets take a wild guess that the majority is confortable,
@jdemeulenaer123 your profile says your from belgium so i dont know if you've ever been to china but i have and it was obvious that the majority wasn't comfortable. And it is VERY true that China gets complaints from human rights groups all over the world. it is true that China is finally recognizing and making attempts to solve this problem but it will never be like a country like yours or mine
@jdemeulenaer123 but this is a tangent from the actual topic that China's "economic dominance is inevitable" yes it is true that china is "the fastest growing economy in the world" however that does not at all mean it is "the biggest" in fact im rather certain USA's economy is 3 TIMES larger than china and is also growing. this gap is so large that in order for china to surpass america their rate of growth must be a fantastic amount and it would take a good long while for it to happen i say 2045

@jdemeulenaer123 im from usa and wouldnt mind china becoming a super power as long as it doesnt lead to a cold war which i think is rather possible
