  • q-jet carbs were used on 429 cobra jets so yeah you better get your facts right before you open your mouth and make yourself sound like a dumbass

  • what was the numbers..

  • Sounds Great! A real Powerhouse. Love that sound!

  • me man me want pussy, and big block 460 lol

  • holy shit... does that thing run on small animals

  • NEVER?!?!?!?! You sir, dont come at with some bullshit you know nothing about, They did use them on select applications for the 351C and 429/460 in the early to mid 70's. You need to learn more before you assume you have your facts right. To assume is to make and ass you of you and me both, but mostly just you.

  • Why do everyone use Holly's? Gm's use them on all there carbureted vehicles! Stick to Edelbrock, the type ford uses for racing engines :)

  • @MrTpengineer GM didnt use holly, they used a rochester quadrajet, and just so you know back in the day, ford used a rochester quadrajet on there bad ass big blocks

  • @1MudDobber2 What I meant by it was each companie had a favorite in carburetors, that's all. I've never seen a quadrajet on a Ford. I've just seen Ford carburetors or Holley. My dad's 71 Plimouth Road Runner carb had to be re-built 5 times in the last 2 years and still leaks, so we had to get a new one. The Edelbrocks seem to have more throttle response and will last for years without a rebuild.

  • @1MudDobber2 In that case I agree, I have a carter AFB on my 300, its been there for 6 years and i have never done anything to it but change the air filter, no adjustments at all, but them hollys...I dont like them except the truck avangers, they seem to be pretty reliable and keep there tune.

  • @1MudDobber2 AAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaa !!!!!!!!! You are mis-informing the masses Sir ! Ford NEVER used a Q-jet.

They used an Autolite which was very similar to MoPar's Thermo-Quad in appearance. They were both spread-bore style carbs. Before you attack, check the facts OR if all else fails, GOOGLE it.

  • Why do you guys post dyno runs without the results, that's like posting a drag race and not showing who won.

  • that is a 9.1 litre petrol v8 engine crazy man

  • How much horse power?

  • i feel like this could put a hurt on my mod motor

  • how big is ur throttle body and injectors on that?

  • its a holley 1000 cfm carb.

  • no injectors or throttle body... it has a carb....

  • where might i beabel to get one or is this like a 494 boared and stroked

  • I live in Australia and the engine was built here by a local engine builder Peter Michael at PM Engines.

  • @rickpfit I Live in the USA but would love to visit Australia. I really liked your past presidents outlook on immigration.

  • 好呀

  • It's the first startup. Can't you hear the valve or two off. The engine will get warmed up checked and adjusted then loaded up.

  • nice engine

  • mmmmmm good ol american muscle

  • now thats what an engine sounds like 5/5

  • Your right - but it hardly looks bone stock...aluminum Heads are not cosmetic or stock.

  • Your point is well taken. Who would use aluminum heads and then go with stock internals. My intent was to stir up the original authour of the thread to provide some interesting data. I think we would all like to see that :)

  • ya what he said!

  • Hummmmm
