If such is the case, it's a remarkable performance because, as everybody knows, the pronunciation of Chinese is extremely difficult, particularly for the Japanese whose language has so few consonants compared to Chinese, and the mastery of complex Chinese consonants is hard to achieve by a non-Han.
Was it lipsynched by Bando Tamasaburo or did he sing in Chinese?

I think he sang live in Chinese. I have never heard any report that it was lip-synched (even with his own voice).
