  • Pipe aficionado, carpenter/woodworker here. I simply LOVE the plank walls behind you. Could you tell me if that was a kit install for you, with pre-surfaced boards, or did you do that beauty yourself.

  • @cioccciocc I have no idea to be honest. It was like that when I bought the place. But they look like they came pre-made and then were finished once installed.

    All the best,

    Jay

  • NOTCH!!!!!!!

  • what a great kit jay

it will be a great prize for someone

    keep em smoking

  • @dunhillmanuk Thanks for watching.

  • how long did it take for your package to get to you i been wating a month from smokingpipes and there saying i cant track it

  • @newfiepipe Took about 3 days. That sounds odd that your package hasn't come yet. Then again if it has to go thru customs who knows.

    Hope it shows up soon.

    Jay

  • i love that pipe happy smoking brotherman

  • @southernpipeman24 Yeah it really is a nice pipe. That kit is a great deal.

  • Wooo! Nice little kit.

  • @pipeheadOR It's is a great deal.

  • I think Pipe Pastor like Black Gold let me know how it is when you try it :)

  • $30 is definitely a good price. The pipe, tool, and puch is worth that even if the tobacco ends up being horrible.

Good review. I have a good entry but I'm saving it for a while.

    Nick

  • @nickandhispipe Hope to see your entry. End of the month will be here before you know it.

    Jay

  • @pedalsandprose Yeah it's a great kit to get started with.

  • Deffinetly let us know how that Virginia Woods is, been thinking about it for a while now!

  • @neolexington It's some good stuff. I'll try and remember to do a full review after I smoke a few more bowls.

  • That is a great kit for a someone starting out! Looking forward to your thoughts on Virginia Woods. I think I have a tin stashed away somewhere.

    -Matthew

  • @bahumutx I'm loving Virginia woods. It's on my reorder list now. Crack that tin man and give it a try.

    Jay

  • Hey Jay that looks like its gonna be a great prize for the winner, maybe I should get in on this contest.

  • @Daftlilly1 Yes you should make a video entry. And then make a few more vids too. hehe

  • Not too shabby indeed. I guess I have to make a video.

  • @mightytimid I look forward to your entry.

  • Nice review, thanks. Am I mistaken or did I hear some German there?

  • @libeldo Yep you heard some German. I really should try to speak more German in my videos as I have a number of views that speak it. But I have to admit my German is pretty rough.

  • @bigpoppamike100 It'd be a great kit to get your feet wet in a few new blends and get the gear you need to get going in the hobby.

    All the best,

    Jay

  • Wish they did a kit like that over here when I started. Like most of us I learned the hard way. Nice prize for the next contest.

I know I don't always comment mate but I'm watching.

    Cheers,

    Dean

  • @dohngl Good to hear from ya. Hope all is well by you.

Thanks for watching and all the best,

    Jay

  • Well it definitely looks like you get your moneys worth with the sampler kit! The coolerdor is definitely the way to go, I had two of them going before I finally moved up to a cabinet. Cheap and easy to maintain good humidity!

  • @tobaccofrank I gotta do more looking into how to make a coolerdor. Someones gotta have a video on it.

  • @OldNorthernSmoky I've meet a fair number of people who got off cigs by switching to pipes. And every one of them was happy they did.

It really is a fantastic starter kit at a great price.

    -Jay

  • good kit, 3 baccys could be 30 usd alone. i just bought 3 baccys in germany a flake ( 50gr) loosse cut ( 100 gr) and a tin of dunhill nightcap ( 50 gr) cost me 29 euros all together.

  • @metalishkitten You can't beat the price thats for sure. And you're right the baccy alone would cost you 30+ dollars.

    -Jay

  • Great way to get started in the hobby there Jay! Thats really a hell of a deal! its like getting a decent basket pipe with all the shit you'd pay another 30 bucks on. Some one should be a happy camper!

    Cheers,

    James

  • @astroman2112 Yeah it's really hard to believe it's only 30 bucks.

    -Jay

  • @ToBaCCoRoW That cooler humidor is pretty cool. If I keep up on the cigars I might have to do something like that.

  • nice supply for starting... the pipe is just right too. what should it be? a 'ninja!!!'

  • @GTFiorano hahahah NINJA!!! I love saying that in videos.

  • I bought a starter kit similar to that from tobacco-barn. Only difference was it was a corncob pipe instead of a briar and no pouch. Starter kits are a great idea for just about anything.

  • @Cobunist I love starter kits of all kinds. For some reason I just find them fun and usually a pretty good deal.

  • My poor man's humidor is that bag I showed once before. It's about $5, holds 5 cigars, and has that humidipack from the dog treats in it. Lasts about 6 months, then just the humidipack gets replaced. I have one at work, and one at home.

  • @drumspipes Do you get any dog treat taste in the cigars? I've gotten a few of those packs in dog treats but was worried they would impart some extra flavor.

  • @dighsx You haven't had a Pupperoni Avo? The local tobacco shop actually sells them quite cheap to refill the Arturo Fuente humidor bag. They're ones specifically designed for 68 or 69% humidity. Another bonus is the bag is easily hidden from the lady I live with.

  • That's definitely a good deal! Thanks for the review huh?

    Cheers,

    Harvey

  • @hjrosasq Thanks for watching Harvey, Hope all is going well by you.

    Jay

  • I am told that American aromatics are a lot stronger flavoured then the ones over here, I would love to try one some day. Planning on visiting the Us next year, so fingers crossed.

  • @Professsor American aromatics are stronger in flavor. I tend to like the European aromatics because they are a lot less in your face.

Good luck getting over here to visit.

    Jay

  • @dighsx I have a very poor sense of taste and prefer something with a strong flavour, fancy doing a trade?

  • @Professsor wing me a pm

  • Quite reasonable starter kit, the price is almost unbelievable especially with so many different accessories in there. I believe that the Peter Stokkebye blend is either the US version of W.O. Larsen Sweet Aromatic or Mellow & Tasty. They're quite good for starters, I smoked many packets of Larsen years ago and they're serious aromatics.

Thanks for showing it to us, if I lived in the US I'd be considering that kit as an easter egg for a few friends.

    Cheers,

    Bruno

  • @DailyPuffer I think this is what they call a loss leader item. The store might loss some money on this kit but if they can get ya started you'll come back and buy more stuff. All that said, it is a great deal for us.

    All the best,

    Jay

  • nice prize. i am sticking with.GIVE MY PIPES AND BACCY TO DIGHSX. trust me no one in my family will know who you are and you would never recieve the stuff. lol

guess i will have to put you in my will so they know how you are.

  • @buckeyepipesmoker hahaha I can see them scratching their heads wondering who the hell DIGHSX is.

  • @dighsx a few know you as jay. go to ebay nice inexpensive humidors.

  • @buckeyepipesmoker What? you too! lol I've already signed over the house!
