@ Erskinmay. I hope your driving is not as arrogant as your writing. I was driving at the legal speed limit in that road further down from the speed camera. The blue car overtook me at high speed, at great risk to third parties. Notwithstanding a cyclist was fatally mowed down in this very road this guy drove all the way on the bicycle lane, over the bus stop and half a meter out from the entrances of those residences. Not much else to say.
Erskinmay - I seriously hope your comment is intended as a cynical joke - its exactly the sort of thing that the driver of this vehicle would say. What outer lane are you talking about? All I can see is one lane for cars, and a narrower cycle lane to the left. What do you mean "you left the driver with no alternative but..." ? What about the alternative to drive at reasonable speed behind the car in front of him? Are you saying that one should give way to those who want to break the speed limit?
Followed the link from ToM. This is not an example of bad driving in Malta unless you're referring to yourself. Why were you hogging the outer lane? You should have been on the inner lane so that people who wanted to overtake you, without breaking the law (contionous white line) could do so with ease.
You left the driver no alternative except to overtake you on the inner side. Learn from this and be considerate to other drivers. Or don't, but then don't complain about Maltese drivers!
