  • u blew my mind again, u are in another dimension. god bless.

  • Rock it Rachel!!!!

  • Correction, Alan Gowen WHO was an amazing keyboard player.

  • Seeing you like progressive rock are you into fusion music like WEATHER REPORT, BRAND X, MAHAVISHU, RETURN TO FOREVER , LARRY CORRELL'S ELEVENTH HOUSE, BRUFORD, GILGAMESH WITH ALAN GOWEN you by the way was an amazing keyboard player????????

  • Awesome. All she needs now is to find a rythym section worthy of her. Go girl Go.

  • Mind-blowing performance. She nailed the sound and the technique perfectly. Looking forward to more.

  • as always BRAVOOO

  • I really enjoyed that. Brought tears to my eyes actually. Not only was played well it was played with spirit. Lots of great energy behind those compositions (esp KE9) and it really came through in her playing. I'm glad she is sharing her love for this music with others through YouTube and hope she is able to play live. I agree with one of the other bloggers who posted that it is jaw dropping. Which was always what made the live performances of ELP so special.

  • That was great! I enjoyed that very much. Bravo.

  • This is mind blowing! She should start an ELP cover band. I'd buy tickets!

  • I've gotten pretty far on this piece, but it occured to me that maybe i should learn the synth and Hammond lines separately. I am a proud owner of a hammond B3.

unfortunately i lack the mischievous L-100 Emerson was so fond of wrestling with and stabbing

  • Its 2 hours past my bed time and I keep finding more videos of this amazing young woman. Can I have some tape to get my mouth to closed because my jaw dropped open.

  • omg, this girl is, is, is ....I can't put into words...

  • Incredible, just incredible! Blows my mind! This is an amazing young lady! She's a gift sent down from Heaven in order to play music!

Also, hats off to her parents for exposing her to the wonderful music of Keith Emerson. I'm humbled and amazed!

  • ok.....(as my head is hung low in shame).

Are you and she interested in later ELP? Pirates? The Score?

  • @curly437 We're cool, curly :) Rachel is interested in all of it :) Just takes some time to get everything recorded and uploaded is all - life kind of intervenes - haha! Have a Merry Christmas!

  • Drunkin guy in the background should never have sung while she was playing.

  • Comment removed

  • @curly437 Guy in background has just been 're-assigned' to a weather-survey station near the North Pole, and shouldn't be a problem for some time to come :)

  • @karnevilj Cool. If you're not Greg or a professional baritone voice....don't sing it. Everyone who has sang this song (or any elp) has turned it into a train wreck. Poor Rachel. Glad she ignored it (and the glass break) and keeped on playing.

Which makes me think: is there anyone out there who sounds like Greg (the young Greg)?

Because they found Yes and Journey sound-a-likes.

  • @curly437 C'mon guys. No dissing of anyone on my youtube channel, ESPECIALLY on Rachel's video. This wasn't a planned video shoot. We were all having fun, and the singing along was part of that. Oh, and no one was drinking anything stronger than apple juice. Let's go back to just enjoying the moment here!! 12sb

  • holy crap she finally got a hammond!

    and it has a 21H!

  • I also enjoy it when she does vocals to the songs.

    STONES OF YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please.

  • It's about time she played this......been waiting months. Excellent!!!!!

  • At 2:35 into the video a glass candle holder fell off the Leslie 122 because it was vibrating with so much good energy. It was part of the fun.

  • This has been a great Rachel-thon weekend. I think the C-3 got a good workout. People unfamiliar with ELP would be very impressed by this video; however, people very familiar with ELP ( that's me!) are ecstatic!

  • Brilliant as always. I would pay to see Rachel in person.

    Peter

  • just brings a tear...

  • W.W.M. (We Want More)

  • Keith, you better be watching this and you better be liking it!

  • Fabulous, fabulous, thank you. Those who dissed Keith at the HVF might now understand that you need two good hands to play stuff like this.

  • @arslogavita Definitely!!!

  • What a talent she is!!!

  • I always loved that silent moment Rachel does perfectly at 5:46. This is pure art.

    KE, are you watching?

  • YES. I've been waiting for this. :D

  • I just feel like I am witnessing a miracle when I hear Rachel interpret a piece of music.

  • @migrantpicker Yes, miracles do exist!!

  • @MichaelThallium Indeed, they do! And isn't it refreshing to be reminded?

  • grande interprète du répertoire ELPien avec beaucoup de talent !

  • No doubt. This is the instrument she was born to play.

  • @12stringbabe She was born to play anything that produces any kind of sound ha ha ha!! She is great!

  • This is one of the most spectacular musical performances I've ever seen

  • This is absolutely fucking fantastic (pardon my French). Seriously, I'm blown away by how mind-blowingly good this is.

  • Rachel's very first time sitting and playing a Hammond C3 with twin Leslie Speakers. With every passing second that she was experimenting with the drawbars, it felt like the BSS tour was still going!! I think she also got to play the Hammond L100, a Minimoog Model D, a Mellotron, a Minimoog Voyager, Nord Modular Synth, and the ARP String Ensemble. Sounding closer to KE than ever before Rachel :)

  • Brilliant, Excuse me while I wipe the tears from my eyes and swallow the lump in my throat. Thanks for this unique upload 12SB. I have been thoroughly entertained...and thankyou to Rachel for being absolutely amazing !!

  • @arealbladeofgrass Pass the tissues please !
