Do you happen to remember the source that has this information (rights to footage, and MJ not wanting to release it)?? It's easy for me to speculate why he didn't want it released, but I would sure like to get the facts. There's a lot of gold in those vaults. I could only imagine what the sales of Victory Tour and Triumph Tour DVDs would look like.
I believe he wanted the past to be in the past. He was moving forward and didn't want to be associated with The Jacksons any longer. Plus, I do not believe he was happy with the Victory Tour. He didn't really want to do it and the show itself is just okay, other than his amazing performances. The BAD tour is soooo much more polished and better. So, why would MJ want Victory released? No point, really.
But we'll get them at some points. Hopefully with a lot of backstage extras, etc.

Mj had a major attitude on the Victory tour and that is why the early performances sucked, about mid way till the end MJ started to get into the groove and that is when his performances were amazing and/or on the Bad level. Its a shame because we only have 2 early concerts (Kansas/Dallas) that show the worst MJ had to offer. He went nuts on the middle and end of the tour, they need to release those.

My dad went to the Triumph Tour when they came to chicago lucky!! Jackson 5/ Jacksons concerts are fun to watch. Its not as polished as MJ's other tours, but it has a feeling that everything goes. Unexpected stuff can happen due to sibling rivalry. lol

He took the mic because Randy's was shorting out. If you listen to the beginning of the song you couldn't hear RJ. MJ, being the pro he was, gave Randy his Mic while the tech replaced Randy's bad mic with a new one near his percussion set up.

Hold on....all those who were saying RANDY sucks....peep this: Did any of you know that Randy was lucky to be alive and WALKING during this tour? That's right....8 months before this tour, he was in a horrible accident. Nearly lost both legs, crushed pelvic, injured ribs, lungs....he was blessed to come back and do this. Just some history from someone who KNOWS the deal...do your research

let em know , i remember when he almost died they didnt think he would walk again.It cracks me up when MICHEAL fans act like he made it alone.They started as a UNIT and WE (fans of j5 from day one ) loved them all .He went on to be a superstar. but he didnt put his brothers down and you shouldnt either.

@PitsDigital This concert was taped in Los Angeles and I think personally the triumph tour was way more hype than the victory tour like 1980triumph said I dont think he wanted to do the victory tour but he was outvoted by his brothers so he had no choice but to do it You could see that he was trying to stray away from his brothers and do his own thing as you can see he can hold his own pretty well but this tour he just has this mad hype power that the victory tour to me didnt have

Michael was the sh*tttttt, his brothers didn't even compare to him in any way, when he sings his part his voice is just soooo beautiful-it makes me so sad that the best and most talented Jackson died. I'd hate to say it becuase they all are talented, but michael seems to be the only one that is smooth in this video. you can hardly hear randy and he is way to wild in this. Now michael you could hear him, but he was using the name mic randy was usin in the beging of the video. You could hear him just fine and he was organized. no randy is awesome on the studio version. michael was a rare guy you know, no one has stage presence like him. even though this is not his best performance, it still shits on most today. i was embarrased for randy with them tight yellow pants. he sounds bad.

Do you happen to remember the source that has this information (rights to footage, and MJ not wanting to release it)?? It's easy for me to speculate why he didn't want it released, but I would sure like to get the facts. There's a lot of gold in those vaults. I could only imagine what the sales of Victory Tour and Triumph Tour DVDs would look like.

I believe he wanted the past to be in the past. He was moving forward and didn't want to be associated with The Jacksons any longer. Plus, I do not believe he was happy with the Victory Tour. He didn't really want to do it and the show itself is just okay, other than his amazing performances. The BAD tour is soooo much more polished and better. So, why would MJ want Victory released? No point, really.
But we'll get them at some points. Hopefully with a lot of backstage extras, etc.

Mj had a major attitude on the Victory tour and that is why the early performances sucked, about mid way till the end MJ started to get into the groove and that is when his performances were amazing and/or on the Bad level. Its a shame because we only have 2 early concerts (Kansas/Dallas) that show the worst MJ had to offer. He went nuts on the middle and end of the tour, they need to release those.

All of the Jacksons were on Jimmy Kimmel's show and Marlon corrected Jimmy and mentioned Randy by name. Marlon then said that Randy is very private and wasn't interested in doing the show. They all said that there is no way there would be any future tour/show without Randy being there.
