@Crazytrojan21 Riddell Speed. My coach gave me an ION 4D and i hated it. I didn't like how you had to put the chin strap through the face mask. And the space to see through is very small. He gave me a brand new Revo Speed & what a difference. Easier to see out of and i could wear it to sleep its so nice!

@antinaci13 They are designed to release as well as reattach. You must reassemble it, push the pin it until you hear it click. It is 100% reusable.

@fame415face most facemasks worn by pros are custom made to their preferences, which is why sometimes you can't find them on the website. perfect example, i wanted a full cage like Chris Canty's facemask, (google him up his facemask is beast) but i soon found out that it was custom made for him since he has an eye problem,

@themarine980 The Revolution Speed helmet is only compatible with S-Bar face masks. It's safety and overall design was tested with S-Bar face mask models and we only recommend S-Bar models to be used.

The visor compatibility depends on a few things, the brand of the visor, as well as which face mask model you have.

They're pretty much the same, by bro has the Ion. Almost as comfy, but Ion protects better and reduces chances of concussion. Anyway, I think Speed is a great helmet and looks waay better. So if you're not a fanboy, I'd say go for the Riddell.

@MrBugsBunny15 Yes the size would be the same. The only difference is when you change to an Attack, since the Attack's liner system is completely different since it does not have "Revolution Technology".

@MrBugsBunny15 The differences between the Revolution Speed Youth and the Revolution Edge Youth are the features. The features that exist on the Speed Youth, but not the Edge are the following: Quick Release face mask attachments, antimicrobial Overliner, inflatable back/neck/side liner. The Revolution Edge Youth has a fitted liner system, which means it is not inflatable. However, you can upgrade the jaw pads to inflatable if you choose.

For instance, the Revolution Speed comes with a moisture-wicking antimicrobial Overliner, Quick Release face mask technology, face mask designs which optimize sightlines as well as lightweight face mask options. Overall the protection is the same, but the extra features make it a more comfortable and versatile helmet.

@SWIC16 That would be the S2BD face mask. We do not carry Under Armor visors so we cannot confirm if their designs fit that model, but our Oakley Eye Shield model does fit on that design. Chances are the Under Armor one does too, but we do not have those available for testing.

While making your helmet fit more comfortable and wicking away moisture from your head during play, over time, the Overliner will require cleaning maintenance. It can be easily removed, washed and replaced though. Check out our Overliner replacement video for the how-to.

I was on your website and it says that a size medium is 20 3/8 - 22 and large is 22 - 23 1/2 but if you are between sizes choose the smaller size I just mesured the circumference of my head and it measured 22 and 1/2 would i choose a large or a medium?

i have this helmet provided my my school and it really does make a big difference but remember it isnt always the helmet that prevents u from having a concusion its the mouth peice. show invest in a mouth peice like maybe a shock doctor or a ppm mouthguard. the ppm mouth gaurd is really expensive tho.

@dme8185 The difference between Varsity and Youth is the shell material. Varsity is made out of polycarbonate and youth is made of high impact ABS plastic. The varsity also comes standard with an inflatable crown, back, neck and side liner. The youth comes standard with an inflatable back, neck and side liner.

This is the best helmet on the market right now. I've never been a fan of Riddell helmets until now. I preferred Schutt helmets. But I don't like the design and fit of the new DNA or ION helmets. This is the most comfortable helmet ever. Riddell has finally got it right.

Ion 4d. It takes something like 30-50 percent more impact on a hit. and it looks much better. It also has the new faceguard system which is KINDA like the quick release and also take more impact on a hit to the facemask.
