  • Dear Japan,

A few months ago I became fascinated with your way of life an kindness. It hurts my heart to know such wonderful people are in so much pain. My wish to help you is such a strong feeling and knowing that I can't upsets me. I may just be 16 but know you are in my heart and I am constantly thinking of everyone of you. Be strong and know u will come out of this with love and support from across the world.

  • On March 1st I returned home from a trip to Japan to visit my Japanese foreign exchange sister Hikari who my family hosted WI. Over the two weeks I was in Japan, I had so many wonderful experiences from playing drinking games with Japanese college students in Hakuba, to having traditional Japanese diner with my sister's family in Tokyo. I was so amazed by the Japanese tenderness and hospitality. I felt so happy in Japan, I am already planning my return. I pray for a quick recovery!

  • Stay strong Japan! I am continually hoping for the best and praying for Japan everyday. This natural disaster that has happened has truly saddened me, so I hope that Japan stays strong and they will persevere through this and rise once again.

  • Japanese people are so kind, I have japanese friends and they are always polite and they genuinely worry for us, even over small things, such as when I am walking home late at night etc. ALL MY PRAYERS are with you guys, god bless everybody! Here's my advice to the people of japan: Never let go of your faith, never let go of your hope. No matter how tough it becomes to do so.

  • be strong Japoneses, no matter how bad things get we are all lucky to be here against such improbability on this big rock. Be strong and use wisdom as you rebuild! Or go feral and claim your birthright once again!

  • I am so speechless right now...Why the hell would something like this happen? especially to such wonderful people?! I am so sincerely sorry for the people who are going through this tragedy right now...nobody deserves to have that happen to their homeland...my prayers are with you guys

    Meg

  • As days go by and the difficulties become more real in your minds, keep focused on even the smallest goals. The goal to rebuild Japan, and also to keep YOU as warm, fed, clean... and safe as possible, and those near to you. The US consciousness is now irrevocably joined to yours, and focused on relief for your inconceivably great suffering.

  • NIPPON FURY!!!!

  • i give out my deepest feelings for everyone in japan. i know 3 people there, so this is something that's very important to me. i hope everyone can overcome this difficult time and that everyone else can come together and work as one group. i donated, so i ask others to help as well.

  • As an Asian American who has Japanese ancestry on his maternal side, I was shocked to see the the horrific damage and destruction the earthquake and tsunami did to Japan. But the spirit and perseverance that you all have has always pulled you all through and I know you all can get through this crisis as well. The spirit, love, and the sense of togetherness that you all in Japan have is something very few if any countries can match. I pray for you all and that Japan will be powerful once again.

  • Japan you have survived Mongol invasions, Western Imperial expansion into Asia, the Earthquake of 1923, two atomic bombs and American occupation and come out stronger every time. Hey it was you that gave the world the expression, fall down seven times get up eight remember? Your spirit and your people are too strong to be defeated by this. 何が起っても日本の精神は永遠に生き続ける。

  • it's beautiful to see people join hands despite all the travesties, to help one another without a second thought for their own well being. i wouldn't have the courage. so i am praying for you. please be strong like always,, we can make it together!

  • Don't give up Japan! You are strong and I have great respect and look up to you in infinite ways. even though I must have NO idea how it must to be there right now, I sincerely wish for the best. don't lose hope and keep looking forward.

Each time I watch the news, and I see a report on the devastation of the earthquake, my eyes tears up, and that's very rare for me. I really care for your nation, so がんばって! =)

  • Even though it feels as if the world around you is dark, one day you will see the light again. Although you are going through dark times right now, one day you will look back and realize how much stronger you have become after this experience. Until you reach that stage, the rest of the world will be behind you supporting you all the way. You will not be forgotten and one day, your strength from moving past such a disaster will inspire millions.

  • Mother nature is neither our friend, nor our enemy. It as irregular as time itself and us humans can't control that. But, one thing we do has is strength. the strength to withstand treacherous obstacles that comes with out warning, the strentgh to have hope for a better tomorrow. You will and will always have the strength, its up to you wether you decided to use it. We will be your spine of support, but you choose if you want to move your body into the path desired. Good Luck

    <3 Love, Jesenia

  • It's hard to say anything in the wake of such a horrible situation. However, regardless of this disaster, Your country has a very rich and wonderful culture. You are awesome! It is perhaps a bit awkward for me to give you advise while our circumstances are so different. However, if I was to give advise it would be to smile at least a little. I will continue to donate money to help rescue operations and such, and I sincerely hope that everything will be alright in the end.

  • I hope those of you suffering from this terrible event will be relieved of it soon. Please look up, Japan. This will pass like everything else. All over the world people are thinking about you, and are trying to help in some way.

  • Since we received the news about the earthquake and the tsunami we were constantly on the tv. i akept listening to the news on a live stream during work. this is a catastrophy worse than anything a nation could ever imagine. and still we see how the people of japan do their best to deal with it calmly and in solidarity. this fills us with deepest respect and admiration and leaves us without doubt that the japanese people will overcome these hard times and will get their beautiful country back!

  • I have loved Japan since I was 11 years old, i am 18 now. I would give anything to come to Japan to help. I have also donated $10. Stay strong! I pray for the people of Japan every night!

  • My thoughts are with them.

I am also planning to donate.

Hang in there and stay strong !

  • 日本の事を考えて 思って います, 気を付けて, 心配なさらないでください。全てうまくいきます。

Translation - I'm always thinking of Japan, be careful okay? Please don't worry, everything's going to be fine.

BY the way, my school in Britain is doing a non-uniform day and it's £1 per person to go to the red-cross to help Japan, this should raise about £1000 from my school alone. I'll also definitely donate extra myself.
