well i think the lyrics have a sense.
don't give up when there's something in your way and there's always sth higher to reach for.
"sail" doesn't only mean sailing with a boat, in this context it means sth like "stand over the people's opinion/beyond doubt"
got it? to me, this song seems to be a motivating/anti-depressive song :)
