the high speed braces treatment does NOT start by cutting the gum fibers at all!!! some orthodontists cut the fibers you mention at the END of the teatment so that the teeth don't move back to their original spot. this treatment is controversial in the orthodontic community and I DO NOT perform this treatment. everything shifts in the body with time. IT the same thing for the mouth. Thepatient must be ery vigilant about wearing their retainer so this doesnt happen!

Just a thought...high speed braces start by CUTTING the gum tissue fibers that hold your teeth in place. This is the same way a dentist starts to pull your teeth...how stable do you think this result will be? People...there is no magic wand!
