The economy is great, if you are wealthy and can use labor arbitrage through globalization. If you are labor you are afraid your job will be exported so wages are stagnant. There is no way an average American entering the market since 2001 can afford to live unless they work 100+ hours a week. The economy hasn't collapsed because they doubled the money supply--that's printing free money--and you can't do that for long.

The dollar is down by 40%.

Foreign holders of the dollar are making it possible by holding dollars. Italy, Sweden and others are moving their holdings into Euros and other countries.

If other countries follow, or Iran and Venezuela switch to selling oil in Euro's, the shit will hit the fan sooner rather than later.
