  • wtf

  • Not worth videoing unless one of the engines fell off or something.

  • OMG mate i know how planes work.

  • OMG mate i know how planes work.

  • Wow really?

  • @MrCriticOfAll i want to make clear that its not just a boeing thing.

  • This is not even a bumpy ride.I had once a flight in a CRJ700 as engineer and the PIC made a " moderate turbulence " callout when I felt allready unsave. And believe me, it´s a very big difference if you are sitting in the cockpit or in the last row. The aircraft is yawing and pitching a lot in the back, which you are not reallizing in the front

  • Thank Boeing for wingflex.

  • @MrCriticOfAll without wingflex you wouldnt go anywhere

  • @Andreasy2 Wow really?

  • ride in the back of the aircraft over the pacific ocean going to hawaii, you'll be running all over the place panicing

  • @brivera98 Ive sat in the very last row on a cathay flight from San fransisco to hong kong non stop lol

  • my farts create more turbulence than this

  • Hong Kong to LHT over Kazackstan was bad.I had sore spots on my elbows from rubbing in the arm rests...it did however shut 2 loud twats in front of us

  • very nice:)

  • 747-400

  • Turbulence? Man, you need to fly more

  • @marcelo412 Exactly, I expected a pretty slump.

  • It looks like it alive

  • yea no one except pilots have come close to "heavy" turbulence... the is Mild to Moderate at best... not even morerate....

  • virgin Atlantic :)

  • watching the turbos go round makes me feel sick

  • @ILOVEJLSBOIZ1 You'd feel even sicker if they weren't going round........ :-(

  • @ILOVEJLSBOIZ1 those are induction fans. Not turbos.

  • i love the 747 wings during turbulence its so beautiful

  • Watched how to build a super jumbo wing last night, they stress tested the wing 4 meters up 2m down wouldnt want to see that out the window! its on bbc iplayer if you want to watch it.

  • Is it just me or does it seem that every "severe turbulence" video.. nobody fuckin likes?

  • @RockinToke that's because everyone for some reason thinks theyre some sort of flying guru and the turbulence they experience will outdo the one they see in the video. typical youtubers, everything is a competition.

  • maybe it was caused by you having your phone on to record this?

  • @UKrulesOK1 wtf are you talking about once you're in the air you can have your phone on as long as you want dumbass. it's called AIRPLANE MODE.

  • you call that turbulence

  • Normal flight here. Severe turbulance is when the wing tips bend upwards 30 feet and the engines wobble around so badly that you think they will touch each other between flashes of lightning over the Mediterranean. Then have 300 liquored up Aussies puke at the same time and try to hold in your own meal. Death would have been welcomed. When Quantas landed in Frankfurt, many people kissed the ground including me.

  • the funny thing is that these planes are meant to withstand more than what people can handle as far a g forces befor anything begins to snap or break....basicly youll die befor the plane does

next time the say some severe turbulance just remember....the plane will most likley not go down, you on the other hand....ehhhh

  • This video put my mind at ease. I love flying in airplanes with large wingspans because during turbulence the long wings take most of the turbulence. I absolutely HATE small planes and jets because of their tiny wingspan so you really bounce all over the freakin place in one of those tiny things with a lot of turbulence. mmmm soothing. =-]

  • Is it all?

  • nice wingflex.

  • nothing spectacular. fly in Alaska and you might feel some turb. like a ride at the park!

  • YAWWNNN,!!!!!,,THAT IS SO BORING.....IVE SEEN MORE TURBULANCE BY YAWNING ON A PLANE ,,JUST LIKE IM DOING NOW.!!

  • looks like an a340 intead of b747

  • Ghey. What a frigging douche. Loser idiot butt-bag. This is like light light chop.

  • You first flying isn'it

  • that is just how much a corvette flexes, when it goes town the street

  • Comment removed

  • So what!

  • Terrifying, simply terrifying.

  • love to see how the wing is flexing , it looks great.

  • i dont mind turbulence!

  • Thats only light Turbulence

  • That wing says it's light turbulence... moderate would show more bend and at larger intervals (frequency).

  • Light to moderate turb at best, if it was heavy, you wouldnt be able to hold your camera (phone?) so steady.

  • i've seen my cessna 150s wings bend more than that!

  • i was on that plane

  • sadly the event of the camera phone and now everybody thinks very body else can see what they feel, welcome to the internet generation.

  • most comments on You Tube are from illiterates and deviates....scary that there's that many creeps out there...wish they'd all move to the moon.

  • My farts are more turbulent.

  • @bigtoeeric I know I've smelled them!

  • welches fsx flugzeug ist das??

  • @2StrokeRacing Boeing 747-400 Virgin atlantic

    und das ist echt !!

  • So amazing to see those massive engines flexing on the wing!

  • thumb up if you went to see the first comment when you read the top comment.

  • You haven't seen 747 turbulance until you see this. /watch?v=UuksQz9WW40&feature=related

  • Turbulence landing in Leeds, Bradford is Turbulence!

We had our whole cabin shaking

  • You have no idea what is turbulence!

  • This isn't MODERATE turbulence !! My goodness ... this is really very light buffet, if anything ! I'd hate to see your reaction if you flew in SEVERE or EXTREME turbulence .... you'd certainly know you're 'alive' then !!

  • @AussieAviator LOL how right you are, i've landed in a blizzard, beats any ride in Disney Land

  • @AussieAviator I know right! :) I've been on a flight where people was screaming and some even crying, you can imagine how bad that turbulence was! LOL

  • You lot are wimps!! you wouldn't know bad turbulance if it slapped you in the face

  • Haha I had that same problem on Virgin Atlantic Glasgow - Orlando... I shit myself :)

  • airplanes are truly magical. floating about above the world.

  • stinking paki moslems will blow our beautiful planes out of the skies... fucking assholes!!!

  • this doesnt look as bad as when i was in a BA B772 flying over Newfoundland

  • DID YOU POOP YOUR PANT?

  • What fucking turbulance?????????????????????????

  • WHY DO YOUTUBE RECOMMEND THIS VIDEO TO ME ALTHOUGH IT HAS LESS LIKES THAN DISLIKES??

  • There is more turbulence when you have sex on a plane

  • @RainfulPhenix Must of been more people having sex on it then lol

  • @RainfulPhenix Especially if it is going on in the cockpit.

  • @RainfulPhenix agreed, try flying in a thunder storm over the canary islands. never again, africa sucks ass.

  • @RainfulPhenix did you? :D

  • this is not turbulence at all

  • My tutor at my Aeronautical Engineering course at college is an ex flight engineer on BA 747-200s. The worst turbulence he's been in was where coffee cups were flying into the air, baggage was falling from the over head compartments and he had to brace himself against the centre console so he didn't get flung into something.

    You call this turbulence :)

  • you call that turbulence

  • its not heavy till you start bumping your head and camera into the window. good vid though. =)

  • has anyone ever flu on a 747 at the very back over the JAVE sea? trust me its sooo bad in heavy turblance!!

  • @10newsrox I have never had flu on an plane ;-)

  • @cochise007 huh?

  • thank you for flying with virgin atlantic !

  • wow... that much turbulance sitting next to the wing, thats a lot of turbulance

  • why is it white under the plane?

  • @CavernStudios Is that a serious question?

  • Oh Horrible, how did you survive that?! Stupid...

  • Nice video !!

  • Again, this looks like a descent. Perfectly normal!

  • thats an awesome view! nice video

  • the wings flap about like that all the time i flew an a340 from KL Malyasia to london luton air aisa 14hr flight!

  • If that were heavy turbulence your camera would hitting the ceiling and the floor.

  • @Brettv8 cheap airplane? ITS 747 God dammit! The wings have to be flexible or otherwise they would fall off. Shake your arm, it doesn't fall off. Now freeze your arm (to illustrate your iron) and start shaking it. From what I know it would break into pieces. Its clear you have never flown before.

  • actually wings are designed for flex as hollowcontact said on almost every commercial airliner out there if they werent then the wings would eventually break to the point where they would fall off

  • If I saw the wings bending like that I would never fly with that carrier again, obviously they buy the lower grade cheaper planes, they should use cast iron for the wings(like a good fry pan) - not cheap muck metal!!!. Its just amazing the wing did not just snap off. I would at least have got my money back. Cheap airplane!

  • @brettv8 in case you haven't noticed, Virgin Atlantic has never had a major accident on it's planes

  • @SNTMcentral Haha I was being sarcastic, making the typical ignorant youtube comments. A friend of mine reckons he went on the A380 during a relatively bumpy ride and was looking down an aisle and could see flex front to rear.

The old saying goes if you don't bend you break.. good day sir.

  • @brettv8 Yeah I totally agree with you! I fly only with planes that have no wing flex so wing snaps off when turbulence comes instead of flexing.

  • @brettv8 Give me 2 or 3 examples of expensive airplane , of this size.

  • @brettv8 I honestly hope your just making a joke.

  • @sponge920 Yes I was being sarcastic. No shortage of similar comments being deadly serious though.

  • @brettv8 Ok, good. and I know. Makes me worried for the fate of the next 20 years. lol

  • Virgin Atlantic !

  • you name your video as 'heavy', but, define it as 'moderate', and actually show us only some 'light' chops, you, you.... whatever...

  • The plane have tirbulences because it Flying through a Cloud.

  • im going on kuwait airways tomarow over the atlantic on a b777 i wonder how much the wings wil bend

  • @jeremyv11000

The wings are designed to flex, in order to stop cracks forming, they work almost like suspension in a car. They can flex further than anything you would experience during a flight.

  • @catecrisiljor virgin atlantic

  • i fly with virgin atlantic ALL the time .

i am so scared though , of it crashing : /

is there any advice somone good give me , so when i fly in january i won't be so paranoid . ?

    thanks (:

  • @WeasleysNumerOneGirl just hope it doesn't crash.

  • @WeasleysNumerOneGirl You will have more chance of a car crash between now and then, when you get in a car you have no fear of crashing yet it will happen more than a plane crash, besides Virgin are one of the safest carriers with modern aircraft and top pilots, think of the staff who fly day in day out, they never expect to crash and neither will you

  • @WeasleysNumerOneGirl Listen to some relaxing music and just close your eyes. It works for me.

  • @WeasleysNumerOneGirl Virgin Atlantic is one of the safest aircraft carriers around, there you go :)

  • Well......I hate Justin Bieber.

  • what airliner?

  • i wanna make a kaka on de toilet

  • wtf was that

  • This isn't moderate turbulence. I'd call it extreme-light.

  • шняга а не турбулентность

  • If i see this video i want to fly!!!!

  • isnt this a DC3? DC3 has four engines right?

  • @flightsimulatorA340 are you f***??? a dc3 has 2 engines and its a prop the dc-3 learn your airplane before you speak THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrPaki1996 lol just joking.i am also a plane lover.just to see how people will react to my comment

  • @flightsimulatorA340 OH haha ok well sorry about that :/

  • Youtube is amazing!? I watcha video of a Boeing 747 and the first comment i read is about sex....?

    hmm

    oh youtube lol

  • you no that on 747 there wings wiggle and that is scary.

  • @weather52761 No. It would only be scary if they didn't wiggle.

  • @JET997u how

  • oops wrong video

  • I'm pretty sure that an A340 :/

  • You said HEAVY turbulence in the title but in the discription you have written MODERATE.... lol. Id say MILD or NONE.

  • This isnt turbulence..

  • You have a great camera, really nice. Now go and point it at something more interesting.

  • Heavy Turbulence?? You must not really fly that much...

  • Dude, that's not heavy. Bumpy, yes. Heavy, no.

  • turbulence my ass

  • Virgin airlines=)

  • Lol thats not hard turbulence..... its like normal..........

  • MAYBE U MADE THE PLANE SHAKE WHEN U TOOK A DUMP

  • So I click on a clip with "heavy turbulence" only to see in the description it is suddenly only "moderate"... and the clip itself is a whopping 16 seconds of light turbulence *sigh*

  • srry meant wingflex

  • amazing one of these 747's can withstand 26 feet, yes 26 feet of wingflew before the wing gets damaged or snaps

  • @rallycar747 There are no forces in nature that can bend a wing that drastically, and even that bend wont break the wing without a chainsaw.

  • @dirtydeedsdone just better for the 747 then

  • viva marokko sahara is maokan 4ever

  • when the person sitting next to you is floating in mid air thats when you know ur in bad turbulence!

  • @Gtwow1 I no...I speak engrish well=_=

  • @SmallLegacy I no speak Americano!!

  • A fair amount of turbulence-the engines are being shaken out of frequency with the wing. You dont get the full effect from a youtube clip.

  • thats normal

  • When the wingtips bend a metre or two each way and the engines are swinging on their mounting pods THAT is turbulence==you had very minor bumps

  • Not heavy at all! I was in a plane and it all of a sudden dropped like 4 feet and then it was shaking quite a bit and the captain even came on an instructed everyone to remain calm and that we would be out of the turbulence shortly.

  • You know that little air vent and call button array over your seat? When there's a fairly recognizable imprint of that on the top of your head, that's heavy turbulence.

  • Thats more than average flex in that wing.

  • I don't know why people are making fun of this video, you can't see or especially feel the turbulence that's inside the plane.

  • @loneshewolf74 - because we can tell by the piffling amount of movement in the wings that this isn't even moderate turbulence, let alone severe.

  • Jon: I think you'll enjoy flying, Garfield. It's a really smooth and comfortable way to travel.

Garfield:(Holding up a barf bag) Then what are these little sacks for? The Easter egg hunt?

  • that's it?

  • OMG YOU GONNA DIE IT IS SO BIG TURBULENCE LOLLOLLOL HAHA

  • wooow.. :D the greatest turbulences ive ever seen ;)

  • What I most like about flights in latitudes about 45 is that pilots first fly north then fly east. In a map it looks as though it is curve but infact planes go always straight.

  • I Get Turbilence when i take a crap sometimes the bowl moves ... haha

  • A man and a woman are sitting next to each other on a trans-atlantic flight in a Boeing 747-400. The aircraft encounters severe turbulence and the man, looking out the window at the wing bouncing around, gradually looks more and more worried.

The woman, noticing, says "Don't worry, I'm a flight attendant and this is perfectly normal."

He replies "Miss, I'm a Boeing engineer and we didn't design the wing to do what it's doing right now."

  • @dlesmond LOL

  • @dlesmond She then goes "You're an engineer...I see, I see. Well if we're doomed anyway, let's go aft, I'll show you in-flight acrobatics and you can show me your shaft".

  • @dlesmond Thats a good way to freak someone out

  • @dlesmond retard. are you posting this fake story on every turbulence video? The wings are DESIGNED to flex like that.

  • @00Mandingo00 Haha wow, surely you realise it's a joke. No one can possibly be that stupid... have a good day at school kiddo!

  • @dlesmond LOL!!

  • @dlesmond LMAO...Tht was a nice one dude....No wonder u got some many 'Thumbs up" !!

  • @dlesmond I don't understand...

  • @MusicLover11325 your dumb then!
