Ian looks good for "a really old man". I hope his attitude remains positive, even in this evil world. I also hope he continues to write and perform, as his music brings so much joy.
@tall32guy Well, it's an Indo-European language like Slavic languages, but it's more closely related to Greek and Persian than it is to those languages.
@12toedfeet Its the reverse. Greek and Persian are more like Armenian. Armenia was ancient by the time Greece and Persia made an impact on civilisation. It was the first of the KauKasian peoples to develope a High Culture and influenced their neighbors in Anatolia, Black Sea and what would become Iran.
@kybelian I never said that one came before the other one. But, to be honest, Armenian and Persian are just as old as one another. And the Persians have had a HUGE influence on us...so many Persian loan words in Armenian. That isn't to say that we haven't had an influence on them though. We certainly have an older culture than the Greeks though.
Interesting interview. A bit special to me since a mere three weeks later, I was comfortably seated for "An evening with Ian Anderson". It was Jethro Tull minus Martin Barre (a bit of a shame I thought). The void was more than adequately filled by that young german guitarist, whose name escapes me a the moment. David Goodier is the best bass player ever in JT's line-up imo. I hope to be able to see them again a couple times more in my lifetime.

Great the way the interpreter listens, translates, and speaks at the same time (e.g. 4:30).
