  • I kept thinking "he's gonna get stuck...", then I realized "wait, he's in a 4runner!" lol

  • This generation 4runner looks soo ugly without the rear spoiler!

  • @xoquixxoqafxo I so fucking agree with you, I have one with spoilers :3

  • i wish you would have done sumthing cool

  • Снег не глубокий!

  • aw so cool. mine looks just like this, same color and everything but it got stuck

  • Turn VSC off, lock the center differrential, and actually get that thing sideways

  • I have one, but live in California but its still nice to know, my 4wd could do this if I needed to

  • That was some pussy drivin right there...get that fuckin thing sideways good sir!

  • AMEN!!!

  • I love driving my 4runner in the fresh snow. Now ice on the other hand sucks.

  • So you are aspiring to make the next 4Runner commercial eh?

  • Diesel 4Runner

    watch?v=6cRiXVRD4TU

  • i live in madison and i'm happy driving a toyota 1994 4 runner sr5 v6 red 4x4 auto and more than 200000 miles and no rust still new

  • did ur 4Runner have any oil gelling problems? ours did and it died at 120,000

  • no i just remplace the stering power pump and the 4 shocks, and still rocks, nothing stop my 4runner. i can send you a picture of my truck in the last winter.

  • sure that would be sweet. send me a message. yeah im 16 now, and trying to save up for another 4Runner and a 250ex.

  • What's fun about this?

  • When 4runners went all automatic is when I bought my last one. Without a manual transmission it's just a minivan. Too bad. I still have two of the good ones, a 1990 and a 2000, when they were still legendary toyota trucks

  • The 4Runner's are actually one of the last new suv's which are still very offroad capable. Even the brand new ones. They still use a truck frame, solid rear axle, etc. It's not car/van based like the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, etc.

  • I know it is. But putting it in D and pressing the gas is just like a minivan. But it is still total sacrelige to first have a truck be an automatic, and second not to even offer a manual. I like Toyota...I love Toyota....but I'll never buy another 4runner. Toyota has turned its back on purists...except for the FJcruiser.

  • Sorry to disappoint you but the FJ is built on the same platform the 4runner is and uses much of the same mechanichal components, the looks may be more RUGGED but if your idea of PURISM is loosing your dentures while going over a railroad crossing you wont like the FJ either,,,both trucks are very able offroad and very comfy onroad and both are body-on-frame construction so very strong and sturdy, maybe you were thinking of the Highlander when comparing to a minivan ride

  • I love 4runners. I own two. I just think it's a crying shame that if I want to buy a brand new one I can't because I don't want to drive an automatic. I was comparing putting the car in "D" and driving to being a minivan. And when you can't get a FREAKIN 4RUNNER in a manual...then Toyota has turned their backs on a lot of people. That's the truth.

  • Just a little input..Ihad the great chance of being invited to the Sussex(Maine) extreme offroad LandRover school last year by Michelin( I am a tire specialist in real life)for a three day course and I dont think Land Rover has anything to envy any other 4WD manufacturer,,,all RangeRovers are automatic and when worked properly it can be a great advantage...

  • .....and they've totally turned their backs on folks that want to drive their cars in favor of soccer moms who want to be able to drive safely in the rain. Because only a soccer mom or dad would get an automatic. What next? Toyota will stop delivering 4Runners with a granny gear? Probably. Just make it a minivan and shut up Toyota.

  • Dude! We got it! You don't like automatic. How many people would buy a brand new 4Runners with manual transmission in America. Toyota has awesome diesel engines too but they don't sell it in america. because people won't buy it. It is not Toyota's fault. Toyota makes and sells this truck in diesel with manual transmission in other countries. They call'em Toyota Hilux Surf.

  • yup, and i managed to get my hands on a 3.0 turbo intercooled diesel model and it sure feels light compared to other suvs

  • People will buy diesel engines. Chevy duramax, and ford diesels are the best trucks in the biz. Congress lobbys against importing diesles becuase they are more effeicnet and and get higher MPG. they are alos cleaner now too. Check out VW bluetec, american had a hell of a time getting that one imported, 55 mpg

  • @MR2turbo4evr don't forget the ridgeline....

  • @MR2turbo4evr Hell yah, the new one, although not everyone likes the new look, i think the front end looks pretty cool, but they are still just as capable, if not more capable then they have ever been. They have got to be the most capable SUV out there with a good set of tires on it. Only thing that would beat it would be the FJ, which is probably the most capable thing you can buy. Thats what i love about the 4 runner, it`s plush and comfy, yet still capable like atank.

  • @markotraco Totally false. MR2turbo; well said. It's hard to find SUV's these days that are designed for both true off-road use and comfort. The 4runner has always been the most practical mid-size offroader on the market.

  • no shit.. good point. sounded like a v6.. either way, good way to go with a TOYOTA

  • lock the center diff and the VSC will be disabled so's you can light it up a little more.

  • Thanks for the tip. I think it was locked at the time when we took the video. We didn't want to go nuts with it since the 4Runner was pretty new at that point...we just wanted to try it out a bit in the snow.

  • @MR2turbo4evr Nice suv dont hit it too hard our back struts went out $2000 fix just wanna warn you!

  • @fearghal Unplug the pressure sensor from the master cylinder... disables EVERYTHING! Donuts in 2WD are possible. No VSC, no TRAC, no ABS, no NOTHING! Takes 2 seconds and is easily re-plugged to make all the safety systems work once again
