Hey M1tchellw, beside the Plugin button on the left column, you should also see a tiny icon of a triangle pointing downwards. Click on that and it will pull down the rest of the menu. Now you should see "add new" as one of the options.

Hi Jaclyn, when I am in my Wordpress Dashboard, I have everything listed on the left hand menu included in appearance other than plugins. I have nothing that says plugin, I've looked in every category. Do you have a solution for me?
