  • @Ljadova Thank you - when you have executed these patterns as many times as I have it does become second nature :) It was a challenge trying to talk at the same time as playing the game.

  • I play these patterns myself. I only play this apple pattern up until the fourth key or level 16, and also on level 18. On level 17(the fifth key), level 19, and level 20, the ghosts do not turn blue, so I play the "fifth key pattern" on those levels.

  • Thanks for uploading these. I don't care if they don't show how to gobble all four ghosts all the time. Every little bit helps.

  • @FireEmblemForever Exactly. And you can take more risk and go for ghosts a little more with theses patterns. These are excellent patterns and a lot of fun.

  • This pattern is intended to show a simple easy to remember method to bridge between my Pt2 & Pt4 walkthroughs. Eating all the ghosts was never the intention, neither is getting the perfect score. You have missed the purpose of my videos :-)

  • Most interesting, thanks for the uploads! :)

  • Very similar to the Ken Uston pattern I used to play in the 80s. I prefer your version though - this is the safest way Ive seen to getting to the 9th key.

  • Can you please re-upload this? I would really like to watch the pattern in action!

  • How annoying, I don't understand why this is no longer available. I will see if I can upload again.

  • Having done a bit of research, it looks like this is part of a much wider problem. My account tells me that this video is still live and should be viewable! Not sure what to do next other than wait for YouTube to fix the problem?

  • nice fake-out at 2:52

  • The Killerclown patterns on his Pac-Man guide are pretty off on some spots, especially the midfruit pattern. So what I use are variants of the patterns found in the old book "How to Score a Million on Pac-Man".

Those are better than KC's, but still in need of fine-tuning.

  • thanks for this.

where did you get the patterns from? (eg killerclown??)

  • Hi, no problem, glad you have found the video useful.

Yes, these are the Killerclown patterns that can be found on the internet by typing 'killerclown pacman' into google. The page is hosted by MameWorld. Good Luck!

  • 1. Some corners you take different, I think you just thought you were right and played on, wich is ok in a pattern that isn't 'perfect'.

    2. You finish some patterns earlier than the original.

    3. Like you said, you skipp the fifth key pattern.

Again..it doesn't really matter since the patterns are made by someone who wasn't an expert either, they are just fun to start with..

But this is the 'Godfather of all games' and there is just TO much wrong info published! What's the use!?

  • I agree with your comments. BUT, I will say that a number of people have now re-visited this game which is great and increased their high scores by a factor of 10 through watching my vids.

As long as we keep the emphasis on fun gaming, I can't see any harm. Anyway, at least people can read these comments to get a better picture of what I was trying to achieve.

  • I guess you saw them at the World C. when the new game came out on the 360?

I don't play these patterns anymore, but when I did, I had respect for them and try to play them excact as they were made...

If you want to play around a little that's fine (that's the freedom of the game) but than you should be correct when you want to share it..

  • Correct, we met them in New York. My son was number one at the original Pacman game in the UK and was a finalist at the World Championships last June. He finished in 6th place.

I do respect the patterns. People have the choice to watch these videos or ignore them.

Believe me, I was doing my very best to represent a method for achieving good scores and most of all extending the fun of the game to a wider audience.

  • 1. it is not like the killerclown pattern

    2. why you talk like you are some teacher?

    3. you're not telling the truth either

  • Thx for commenting:

    1. Apologies, I didn't want to take any credit for creating these myself. The patterns that I downloaded from the internet were produced by killerclown. Perhaps killerclown created variants!

    2. I thought my style of speech was appropriate for this type of video.

    3. Please can you expand your question?

Note: I am an avid Pacman fan and have met the three people in the world who have achieved the perfect score and I've met Toru Iwatani, the creator of Pacman.

  • Q3. On further thought, I assume that you are referring to my implication that the Apple pattern will enable you to complete through to Level 20. You are correct.

The player has a choice, either learn the 5th key pattern for levels 17, 19 & 20 or to free-run these levels which is what I prefer to do.

I have updated the text for this video to make this clearer.

Thank you for pointing this out. Appreciated.
