I've got to say, this is the best compilation of Rent I've seen in a long time. You can tell that you actually worked hard on it. But I only have one complaint: what ever happened to Angel and Collins? I mean, you have sections of film with them in it, but I definetly tell that you are a Mimi fan. Okay. I have to say this. Daphne's voice is not a voice for a movie. it is a broadway voice. it would sound abhorrent in a movie. Rosario did a wonderful job (I thought) with the role. She looked the part way more than Daphne did. Anyone who saw their 10 anniversary broadway show KNOWS that if Daphne had done the movie, it wouldn't have been as good as it was. There's my two cents. I did not like Rosario Dawson one bit. I do not believe for a second that the voice in the movie was actually hers. She also did not look the part at all, Mimi's supposed to at least LOOK Hispanic and she's supposed to look young. I would have loved it so much more if Antonique had gotten that part. I hated how the movie music and voiced sounded so synthesized and filtered and how high-pitched their voices sounded (especially Idina's). Stage show vs. movie? No question.
