  • Canadian military, protecting everything right and good.

thinking of becoming a DEO (direct entry officer) once im done getting a degree (2 more years), any comments, advice or suggestions on that would be appreciated :)

  • i love how the vid is 4:20 long :)

  • We may live in a great country however joining the force turns you into a murderer weather that's how you see it or not.you should all be ashamed of yourselfs and not proud. We don't even need to be fighting, its not like were being attacked in canada. All that we are doing is invading their country, killing their people and taking their oil and we are seen as the good guys and they are seen as terorists, and tell me whens the last time that terorism ocured in canada? Do NOT Join the force!

  • @cartermcg123 i got the app in my face

  • @cartermcg123 you're an ignorant, ill informed dick. Do some research genius. Do you know how much the CF do OTHER THEN the Afghanistan mission (which is essentially over) steal their oil? kill their people? OPEN A BOOK you have literally no clue what you're saying. Its one thing not to support war, but to say "do not join the force" means you have no regard for the humanitarian aid, search and rescue missions, medical missions, and charity events being conducted every single day.

  • @benjamina1711 I agree with you brother, plus Afghanistan is pretty much the worst place if we were seeking oil but we are not.Semper Fidelis my friend,by the way yes i am canadian

  • @cartermcg123 if it wasnt for CF forces, and other allie forcs the taliban would have attack the U.S, U.K and canada

  • @cartermcg123 Agreed but we are freeing others. It is the U.S. that is wrong.

  • @cartermcg123 canada fights because of drugs, terrorisms not oil and other resource in the goal to make profits by killing millions of citizens like the americans did.

you're probally the kind of guy that have no clue about military and all it's benifits right?

  • @cartermcg123 The last occurrence of terrorism on Canadian soil was in May 2010 when an RBC bank was firebombed. In 2006 a group associated with Al Qaeda was caught planning to make an open attack on civilians, the CBC, the Parliament Building, and more.

There has been at least fourty attacks against Canada, Canadians, and on Canadian soil (and for dozens of different reasons) since the 1960's. That should answer one of your ludicrous questions/statements.

  • @cartermcg123 P.S. Let's not forget about the FLQ and how they aim to crumble the Dominion of Canada by spreading lies about oppression against the French and their repeated use of violence against the civilian population.

  • @cartermcg123 thats not true in the canadian forces most people that join will never kill anyone the army is not like all the movies u see where they run around killing everyone. and the movies are the problem alot of kids join right out of high school thinking it willl be all fun and they will get to shoot people but thats not reality mostly the canadian forces help people like helping after there is an earthquake and stuff also the people who actully do kill people ussally come back messed up

  • Because Canada is the best country in the world!!!!!!!!

  • they have a ton of courage......... but it's not for our country. time to come home boys, we love you, your the best. but come home.

  • yeah right.. join the lie retards..

  • @lamborghinimonster33 you can get information from the Canadian Forces website but im pretty sure you have to find the nearest recruitment center near you and talk to a recruiting officer.

  • @lamborghinimonster33 forces.ca

  • @b0dmonn your an ass! Every person who signs up to fight for there country is a hero. Your just a pussy to scared to join!

  • FUCK THE FORCES who ever signs is a fucking IDOT BONEHEAD DUMBFUCK i dont really respect those who enlist because they are ususally homeless or idots who cant hold a career, and its more pay then mcdonalds so there just a bunch of nobody unskilled indiviuals who has nothing better to do... so its like a fake career

  • @b0dmonn Dont disrespect those soldiers, the forces are more than you think, you learn skills, you learn RESPECT, what you dont have, you learn how to be a better person and appriciate life, dont talk shit about the army, you have no right, you are not a part or have ever been a part of them, this is one of the most challenging careers out there, if you can hold this, then you can hold any career, if it wasnt for our soldiers, we probably wouldnt be here right now. Dont be disrespectful man.

  • @b0dmonn really u do now that if someone has no skills they cant join u need to be in good shape and be good at math also alot of people join cause they will pay for your schooling

If I enlist (which I plan on doing) I will follow in the footsteps of my father , uncle , and ancestors. The Canadian forces are my future! I will fight and protect.even if it kills me-3

  • @LeighaLoversU DONT DO IT!....trust me im a dr

  • @lee3nfi3ld460 ill do what i want :)

  • I'm thinking of enlisting when I turn 18, and I'm 17 now. I understand that war is nothing like the video games show it as, but, I want to protect the people I care about. That's who I am. That's who I always was. I won't fight for glory, honour, or to be a hero. I will fight to protect the people that I care about. That is a promise.

  • @agent00puffball join the reserves you can join the reserves as early as 16 which i was gonna do but it turns out you need 15 high school credits to join and i only have 14.5 (failed careers and some computer class) but now that your 17 you can join any time

  • @JORDANBAUMER im joining reserves at sixteen to get a head start for regular forces. the reason i want to is because i enjoy getting out and physical work and i dont want to sit behind my compute, but also some of my family members have and are serving so why cant i too?

  • @JORDANBAUMER

word im joining fulltime in the infantry cant wait to work wit yall

  • The Canadian Forces is no longer primarily a peace keeping military. The Army is now focused around counter-insurgency and operations to that affect. Today's Canadian Forces has some of the fiercest and best trained warriors on the face of the earth.

  • I loved this video, I'm waiting for April to join as I was told the combat arms is full at the moment. there are many, MANY reasons for joining. I want to better myself, I know as Canadians we have MANY freedoms and rights that many other people in the world do no, I want to join to do my part in protecting our great country and its freedoms. I feel by doing my part i will have earned the right to take little freedoms we have for granted, to better myself, and feel I have made a diference.

  • I`m thirteen, love my country, and want to serve. My great grandfather served in the Battle of Vimy Ridge. And even though I did not get a chance to meet him I think he is a hero. I understand war is not like "cod" or a video game, and it`s real, And that its sacrafice. But I love Canada.

  • @DoGoodBars alot can change in 4 years u might not want to join when u get to 18 but good for u if u join

  • My first time in afghan, I just got back from my tour last month. A little girl maybe 9 years old? Ran up to me and said (from what my translator said) "my mommy wants your to have this" and they gave me and my platoon their only goat. Thats why you join the Canadian Forces. I have a brother who is nine. And I would hope someone would stand up to protect him too.

  • @SmallTimeShred cool who did you serve with?

    ~Thanato

  • Joining next Year Just waiting for my buddy to done with hes School :D

Cant wait till i protect my Country And join in the Fight For Freedom :-)

  • Looks like another challenge. I'd prefer ERT tho..

  • Next year I'm entering CEGEP with a military scolership. When I'm done universaty I'll be spending 5 years in the MARCOM. My little brother will spend 5 years in the LFC.

  • just a awesome and perfect vid great job actually super job

  • how long is the Training of being Canadian Forces?

  • so if i fail grade 10 can i join?

  • @gamerbot101 If your 18

  • @gamerbot101 you need to pass grade 10 but you dont need to pass grade 11 and 12

im joining rite after im turning 18 and i failed some grade 10 courses

  • @TheShart1234 We have a Co-op with the army at our school. And we have to do all the millitary requirments etc... We only can fail 2 classes and then you become un elegable. And if those classes where failed that person should complet summer school to get those credits. It might be a little diffrent out of the Co-op so good luck then. I have another year and a half to wait before i can get in.

  • @gamerbot101 i think aslong as u have ur math cause math is the most important one for the army

  • the guys in the video are they actually seeing there targets get hit or are they just kinda blind firing them into a suppressed state?

  • Really nice!

  • i know it not like COD

3 of my uncles where in the war and 2 died

  • i know it not like COD 3 of my uncles where in the war and 2 died

  • hey im 15 and i want to join the armed forces i looked in to it but i dont really know what i have to do after high school if some one can help thanks

  • @hunterking1314

you have to be under 16 before joining the army. all you need is the autorisation of your parents/tutor and have at least 10 years of school. so that means at least sec III completed. good luck

  • @TheChouchoulol what are u talking about u cant join if ur under 16????

  • Start early.. I don't know about other recruiting offices, but the one in Halifax is pathetic... Ive been activly trying to get in for the better part of the three years. There is quite a bit of incompetence and bureaucracy involved.

  • @Judokkaa hey man same here it took me two years before i was swarn in. leaving for SQ july 2nd

  • @YE8PD Nice, what's Sq? Like BMQ? I'm told theres a good chance I'll get sworn in this thursday... Maybe basic june 30th... I fucking hope so... im dyin to quite my job and go run around the forest shooting guns and throwing grenades.

  • @Judokkaa SQ is ur soldier Qualification were you learn basic weapons skills tactics and some field stuff, then if ur infantry you do DP1 which is the course for the infantry. you do ur SQ after your BMQ, good luck by the way on BMQ. best thing you will ever do is join the CF. or at least it has been for me. Ur in halifax so your probly goin PLF right?

  • Comment removed

  • @hunterking1314 ur 15.. wut do u know...heres a tip.. its not like COD

  • BAHAHAHA!!!!!

  • Canada is a Peacekeeping Country I Would Like to join but not sure if i want to just up and go when im 18 right out of highscool and leave my friends behind but i want to go its such a hard decision...ive still got a little over a year left to decide

  • @GearsStyle

do it now , i waited and i regret waiting. im 24 now and finally getting in, i could be a coporal by now making more money then i am now. by the way im a 2nd year diesel mechanic.

  • well its only three years minimal service for free college. I would go for it

  • Join the reserves. Best of both worlds.

  • I want to join, but i dont want to march lines learn how to make a bed, I just want to learn how to kill, I kind of know how, but i really want to spray some blood on the walls, blow some shit up, and spread chaos over the lands I walk.

  • @deystroir the reason why they make u march in lines, make u do ur bed is so that when u enter combat u dont refused to do what ur commander tells u to do.. **if they can make u march in lines they can make u cross the line during combat** kinda like brain washing in a way.

  • @deystroir

I hope youre kidding,, but youre the exact time of person the army WONT let in

  • thats not what Canadian forces are about considering were a peace keeping military. They dont want savage killers as peace keepers.

  • are you autistic? how are we a "peacekeeping military"?

  • @deystroir

srry for you man all those that you mention are the process of becoming a soldier

    a soldier must be disciplined,organized,professional

  • Much respect for the Candian army. Borders only seperate what was once called family, i only wish our leaders could understand that. Please go to a recruiting station, if intrested. i shall meet with you guys very soon, when i become age!

  • I'm a cultural chauvanist and proud of it, but don't EVER accuse me of racism. I can't begin to give a shit about the color of people's skin. It's an entirely irrational reason to hate, or like, somebody. But the culture they come from, were raised in? Perfectly valid, because it will largely dictate their behavior.

And you think that because we were born in the 20th century we're somehow morally superior to, say, the Templars? Get over yourself and your "modern" sensibilities.

  • "but the horrible death count it can inflict on an unsuspecting urban population should still make it too deadly to consider."

That is a feature, not a bug. I don't think you understand what war is. War is about killing people and breaking their stuff. You kill the enemy and break his stuff, and keep killing him and breaking his stuff, until he runs out of people or the will to fight or the stuff to fight with.

  • Actually, the conventional bombings of Japanese cities destroyed more lives and property than Fat Man and Little Boy ever did. The low KT range ain't much in the way of destructive power.

*sigh* I hate television. It has made so many people underestimate the destructive power of a bullet and REALLY overestimate the destructive power of nuclear weapons.

Modern systems are really quite clean, anyway.

  • I'm advocating nothing but the same amount of firepower that was applied to German and Japanese population centers during WWII. Instead of incendiaries used in that conflict, we go with the modern and much more cost-efficient nuclear option.

Your sentiment that we can afford to fight less than a total war si the weakness that could very well lead to the destruction of the West.

Doesn't matter right now. I imagine you'll come around to my way of thinking after we lose London or Paris or NYC...

  • Every nuclear weapon detonated affects everyone in the world.

  • How exactly is that? Because there's an additional part-per-trillion of thorium in the atmosphere? By farting, do I effect everyone in the world by adding more methane to the atmosphere?

And we're not talking about "everyone in the world." I'm talking about my national and cultural interests. The rest of the world can shove it. If they want to interfere, they can have a piece too.

  • Well, there are essentially two alternatives to victory in Afghanistan: destruction of the West or the destruction of the Islamic world.

The Bush Doctrine of spreading Western style government as a means of winning Muslim hearts away from Jihad is the humane, but I believe ultimately doomed, effort to keep this from turning into the Clash of Civilizations.

So either we actually commit to doing this the conventional way, or we may as well start nuking Islamic population centers.

  • I wasn't referring to senior military leadership, I have no reason to think them anything else but honorable men. I was referring to their political masters and the weak, short-sighted civilians that elect them.

  • You can buy the things for about $100 in the US. I'm a civilian and I have one on my M4.

  • depends.. i got mine when i arived at the batallion but i seen recruits on sq and dp1 who add it. and about making shooting easier, depends on the person.. i use it but some of my buddys took theres off cause they didn't like it.

  • do u make it into the army 10% reply back plz

  • actually the canadian army isnt even recruiting at the moment. seeing as we arent an ever growing force like the u.s we have a set limit for our forces size and right now we are over it

  • @Jarrett711 Yeah I'm pretty sure only infantry is full right now on account of the fact we're getting more people at st. Jean early January...

  • I really respect your military, especially the PPLI. But, like the British Army in WWI, you are "lions led by jackasses." I don't think Canada deserves you guys, frankly. You have to be the least-appreciated military in the West.

  • most soldiers are dead by MINES O_O

  • when im a bit older im going to join I want to explore canada more first

  • Im going to military school so i can try to join

  • the tip of the spear nice gunfight but i dont know the name of the song.. can someone tell me?

  • frontline infantry, kick ass take names, get the hot chick in the sac, oo-raw

  • Great video.

Ive already applied at the recruitment office.

    Cant wait for BMQ.

    Canada <3

  • i just got accepted as a armored crewman , what trade did you pick?

  • i got armoured crewman too, took me a good long while to make a choice however

  • when do u leave?

  • ive already done a tour, went through petawawa last year, spent time in kandahar, crewman is a good position

  • oh right on. how many years did you sign up for??

i will be the 5th person in my family to go through gagetown lol . i hoping strath's cause im from the coast

  • im goin for career most likely, its not for most but the CF has been a huge part of my family for decades. from great grandfather to brother its in my blood. wanna try for officer maybe even go to RCMC

  • RMC?? all three of my older brothers went to RMC. i got lots of stories about RMC, my advice through my brothers experiences is think hard about going there. two brothers dropped out after 2yrs and the one finished and was a coyote commander for LSCH

  • Great vid man i am joining the forces

  • Good Video. I give 5 Stars.

    ~Thanato

  • Go CANADA!!

  • i like the song..
