Are this Portable Hard Drives good for transferring game files or its just for photos and videos .. ?

I have this EXHD and im not realy impressed with it the fucker overheats i have the 320GB one but it reads at 298GB comparing it to my other EXHD that reads at 120GB the other one stays cold and it by another manufacture
