Pendley and the board are loosers! It's time for a new board, it's time that the public taxpayers vote for a new board and make it a law that taxpayers 'vote' for a superintendent.
Please review "Evidence of Greed" if you doubt the facts. If you have different facts, you are encouraged to address the board during public session and note your thoughts; We seem to have missed your kind and supportive comments last night during the public hearing portion of the meeting.
This person does not care about facts. This person cares about attacking students and commenting on issues about bathrooms and books as if a current student. This person is probably an administrator of HUSD.
There are always two sides to a story. I think the board needs to start speaking up and quit letting the CSEA walk all over them. There are facts to get straight and sad to say, yours are inaccurate.
this is sad...how can anyone take a pay increase where there will be layoffs. At mot job I got a small increase but we are steadly hiring. When will people learn that good will prevail...
Here's something everyone needs to contemplate. In the past thirty years, California has gone from first in nation in school funding to last. With the current round of budget cuts, California will fund it's schools in 2009-10 lower than Missouri, lower than Alabama, and even lower than Mississippi. In that context, a student comment at the HUSD Board meeting about no instructional materials is pretty tame. Given the situation, Californians should be thankful that students aren't rioting.
The reason the kids don't have books to take home is because the Printing Lobby has taken control of the Teachers and Text are revised and reprinted or changed, the schools can't afford to buy on for every child they are so expensive. 1 spanish book, good for 1 semester, at MSJC, $160.00, that's obscene in my opinion. Who's making all the money at our childrens expense? That's the question. imo Charter Schools Now!
Do you know this for sure? It would make sense why my three kids are not getting their books. The schools can afford them they need to stop taking money and giving it to themselves. That would be a big help. I would like to see a law on the books that stops them from taking money especialy during a state fiscal crisis. The funds from Prop 98 and our taxes need to be spent on education not the Superintendent.
While the union clearly has an agenda, the fact remains. If the school board is getting an 8% raise as claimed, they should clearly not take it this year and revisit the issue next year. Any good PR person would provide the same advice.
Right now the union agenda is mine too. My kids are doing without and if all these people lose their jobs it will further strain the economy especially at a local level.
These people are sick. The school board should feel horrible. I really dont know how they sleep at night. Where do they get the nerve to give themselves massive raises while others are going to lose their jobs. The school board members are no better then those CEO's of the failed banks. How dare they try to defend their actions during a time like this. We will not let these people ruin our schools and education of our children just because they need MORE money. They should all feel horrible.
This is absolutely pathetic. Why don't you get the real facts....and a life! I support the people who run our school district. You should too. At least they are professional in their actions rather then smearing false accusations. They deserve the respect that comes with having a higher education.
Did you see the contracts? I did. Public record. A higher education does not give you the right to take advantage of students and employees. I do not blindly support any group of people that rob our community and students of their education. Why don't you get the facts. Quit following HUSD blindly; unless that's who pays you, which would make sense considering your apparent love!
Disgusting isn't even the half of it. Whats disgusting is their teamster tactics to spread boldfaced lies. Take a look at who's speaking. They are not even Hemet employees. How sad. This is the reason I will NEVER be a CSEA member. Shame on YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
You don't have the guts to be a CSEA member. You are clearly stupid, watch the video and count the HUSD employees.. You are a graduate right? You should know them! Yes they have support from other districts but HUSD classified employees were speaking. Who is paying you off? The fact that your are so into this speaks volumes. Show up on the 17th for your facts. Stop picking on students and spreading your hate. You probably are a HUSD Administrator. They don't care about kids either.
The next meeting is on the 17th at 6:30pm. They still have the 2 million in perks and raises. Now they are harrassing students and calling other school districts to stop others from suppoting this issue. It didn't work!
