eh....i have no problem myself killing old ladies in a game. the more real the better. its pretty much the same as any other game because it's all simulated. some ppl can't handle it because they become convinced they are really doing murder, etc. basically our own morality and sense of "Bad dog, bad!" guilt keeps some from enjoying what should be an entertaining game.
I tell you what panta, I want games to become mega realstic, and I want them to show pretty much whatever they want.
I think my only problem is that games arnt like films, and you should sometimes be given a choice as to what to do. Just an example in GTA San Andreas you had to go kill an innocent cop... You couldnt get any further in the game if you didnt. Now that lack of choice is what I dislike.

1- This is a videogame, not real people. No one was killed or even injured in the making of it, except maybe a headache from the coding.

Erm I don't understand how you lost health at the start. Anyway I did play the mission and although it was very gruesome (Which I like) I didn't enjoy watching the slaughter for anyone who wants to opt out but thinks they'll miss key story you won't Sheperd explains clearly what happened if you skip it so you know exactly what happens. And I can understand why some are scared I however live in a country (UK) where this is extremely unlikley to happen! And it is in most countries!
I didn't opt out, whyyyyy. I was up in my room crying for 8 hours after playing this excuse for a "mission" I had nightmares, couldn't eat or think straight, i wet the bed, i went through boxes of chees-its, i gave blumpkins to bystanders, and played yugio with the devil. Those few minutes of gameplay have scared me for life. I still can't get my bedsheets clean

How can you distinguish between a game and reality? Is a game not a part of our reality too? I think you make these distinctions too flippantly. Anything in this world can be used by anyone to whatever end. The 9/11 terrorists used microsoft flight simulator to pre-train before some instruction. The Chinese supposedly used CounterStrike to de-sensitize recruits to the killing process. This mission will be used to de-sensitize future terrorists. Look at the bigger picture for a change.

I have a friend who went through this mision without killing a single civilian because he hated it so much. I'm gonna do the same. For those of you saying 'whats the big deal' what happens in 10 years time when you have photo-realistic graphics? You gonna be fine killing old ladies and young women when they look pretty much real?
I have no problem with the game, but its MEANT to disturb you, while some of you geeks seem to get off on it.

eh....i have no problem myself killing old ladies in a game. the more real the better. its pretty much the same as any other game because it's all simulated. some ppl can't handle it because they become convinced they are really doing murder, etc. basically our own morality and sense of "Bad dog, bad!" guilt keeps some from enjoying what should be an entertaining game.

I tell you what panta, I want games to become mega realstic, and I want them to show pretty much whatever they want.
I think my only problem is that games arnt like films, and you should sometimes be given a choice as to what to do. Just an example in GTA San Andreas you had to go kill an innocent cop... You couldnt get any further in the game if you didnt. Now that lack of choice is what I dislike.

@Pentdad : honestly, i don't care much whether or not i have to kill an innocent character. i don't take games THAT seriously,see? i'm not bothered by killing a character as much as i would be about the lack of choice. you are very right about the lack of choice point, no arguement there. i just run around and have fun, because that's what games are for. games and films are similar: the only difference being that you make up and take on a fictional role in a game. films do that for the viewer.

Why is this controversial? Let's see what this level really is shall we?
1- This is a videogame, not real people. No one was killed or even injured in the making of it, except maybe a headache from the coding.
2- Devs of this game would most likely never kill anyone, nor would they ever want someone playing their game to do so.
3- They even made it skippable, so if you really can't get past that thoses pixel watching aren't real humans, you can live happily in your own insanity.

I'm feeling a bit better today. I can finally go to the bathroom without my mom having to watch me, to make sure i don't pass out. However, i'm still wetting myself without even knowing, and i gave a bewildered blumpkin to a bald bastard on accident. One day at a time i guess... Erm I don't understand how you lost health at the start. Anyway I did play the mission and although it was very gruesome (Which I like) I didn't enjoy watching the slaughter for anyone who wants to opt out but thinks they'll miss key story you won't Sheperd explains clearly what happened if you skip it so you know exactly what happens. And I can understand why some are scared I however live in a country (UK) where this is extremely unlikley to happen! And it is in most countries!

I didn't opt out, whyyyyy. I was up in my room crying for 8 hours after playing this excuse for a "mission" I had nightmares, couldn't eat or think straight, i wet the bed, i went through boxes of chees-its, i gave blumpkins to bystanders, and played yugio with the devil. Those few minutes of gameplay have scared me for life. I still can't get my bedsheets clean
