Call me crazy, but if I EVER got hold of a time-machine, I would use it EXCLUSIVELY to go back and show Mozart some Boogie Woogie like this - Imagine where music would be today, if such a genious got his hands on Boogie Woogie ... Just sayin'
.....I just can't work it out - how come Jools is on the Telly, Makes Recordings, gets paid millions - and you can play like this and get nowt.......unless you're Jools??
@waldenhouse Well it's one thing to be able to play these marvelous pieces and another to actually come up with them! If people became successful for just playing other people's stuff, then we'd never hear new music and it would never progress.
VERY NICE JOB! I'm brand new to learning Boogie Woogie, so you are indeed an inspiration to me. I've been playing since the 60's, but NEVER tried this style. So just getting into Boogie Woogie. Even tho we can't see your face, you're having FUN, cuz your leg is just a bouncin, lol, and I can 'feel' the excitement in your hands and arms. Keep up the AWESOME playing, and do share more video's. Many thanks....RJ...Ontario
I don,t see a problem with your performance and I like your style. However, the tempo for this tune is too fast. Thank you for sharing your music with us and I have you listed as a favorite.
Thank you for your comment. The reason that I changed the bassline for this video was simply because I had cut my middle finger quite badly and so It was just easier to use this bassline lol.
Yes I take my hat off to BigMrC, his version is excellent but then again he is the one that transcribed it!
I managed to scrounge up the music. That's a lot of notes. Reminds of that line from "Amadeus." the King: "... too many notes. Just take some out and it will be fine." Mozart: "Well, which ones would you have me take out?" You're VERY good! Didn't seem to me that you missed even one, but then I'm not am expert.
Excellent playing, now treat yourself and buy a real piano. Then playing it will be a hundred times better i assure you. Fantastic work though, you played it faithfully whilst still making it your own.
Niiice dude!, I've been practising for 4 days and I'm only at 0.22 of the intro, plus I'm playing some fast parts in half the speed that you're playing it hahaha. Then again this is the first thing on the piano that I'm trying to learn so it's not too bad haha. More practising, more kickass music. You rock that piano duderino!
Erm i cant remember now as i recorded it last year haha, and yeah i recorded it without realising i had the transpose was set, so yeah its not in C :)
@Graam41 - Oy Vey! I'm not up on digital pianissmo, but you mean to tell me that you don't even have to do any musical brain work to transpose music these days? You just hit a button your piano and walla, you have a different key? Holy crap. But that's part of becoming a musician learning all those keys! You play really well, by the way. Great hands, too.
Haha thanks, and no i actually used your transcription which is excellent by the way! I was just messing around with the left hand boogie styles and thought that that one was quite good, and i suppose I just got used to using that one haha!
Im trying to learn bumble boogie by ear at the moment, I think i messaged you a while back about bumble boogie?

Did you transpose your keyboard before you recorded that? The original is in C, but that one's in key of Eb, though you play it with the keys of C :)
