ina is just a big show off!she shows off her house, garden and her nice neighborhood!.it shows how spoiled she is with her "good quality" comments.she need to atleast to help the poor and the sick.fact:half of her spending messed up the economy!
@hellokitties100 may if you worked harder instead of expecting things to be handed to you you could walk through nice neighborhoods and have nice gardens COMMIE
@hellokitties100 oh so just because she lives in a nice house and neighborhood she is a show off. OR... you are just jealous, envyous intolerant and impatient.
This is my favorite episode of Barefoot Contessa. Endive Pear Salad, Herb Baked Eggs, and Profiteroles for dessert. The vinagarette she made for the Endive Pear Salad is Great on anything. This is also a great substitute if you do not like the traditional Hollandaise sauce.
She said 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of SALT and 3/4 cup of Olive Oil!! right? YUCK. it was NOT GOOD!! THE MEASUREMENTS ARE INCORRECT ON THIS VIDEO!! the recipe on Food network as follows: 4 to 6 heads of Belgian endive 1 1/2 TBSP Champagne vinegar or white wine vinegar 3/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard *1 egg yolk - room temp 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper 6 tablespoons good olive oil 2 ripe pears 1/4 pound good Roquefort (blue) cheese 1/2 cup toasted walnut halves
omg i just made this and it was delicious. every reciped ive attempted to make from food network has turned out disgusting, except for paula deen's lemon bars which were just okay. but i have to say this is pretty awesome
I love the salad she prepared but what is the point of warming the walnuts if she's going to stick the whole thing in the fridge? I know she says to crisp them up and give the flavor, but I would think that serving them warm would be so amazing with this salad. JMPV!
If you enjoy Ina, do yourself a favor and try her recipes. Almost all of my crowd pleasers came from her. You wouldn't believe how EASY it is to make fabulous food if you do just as she says! My dinner party guests are amazed, but I can't pretend I thought of these things myself - I always give the Barefoot Contessa the credit. Thanks, Ina!
"the good thing about French cheese is that you can get it right here in America."
really???
I thought you had to go ALL the way to France to get it! :O

I love that they allow you to sample the cheese before you buy it. I'd get in trouble in France. I'd be so fat after sampling all of the cheeses.

t first I didnt liek Ina becasue of her fakeness and is annoying but I really liek her dishes she makes and the atmosphere,
Even if the food is fattening, everything these days has some kind of unhealthy ingrediant in it.

*****ina's a nice change from the norm...but i think she forgot the lemon
in her lemon vinagrette.

She did forget the lemon because I didn't see her squeeze the lemon in her dressing.
