@pushunui I have read all the books. The only one that the show followed was the first book. The other books have been mostly different with the show reflecting maybe a couple of elements from the books, like the marriage or having a baby. Though, spoiler, the baby in the books is a girl. Most of the characters are different too. Deborah is much different. Dexter is not as...I guess redeemable, and the other cops are largely different when they are mentioned at all. Only Masuka is the same.

The best ending for dexter is to be killed by his son. His son was born in blood like him and he must teach him to kill only serial killers. After his son discovers that his dad is a serial killer and its dexters fault that his mother was killed and that he became a monster, he would like to kill his father. I havent read the book so i dont know how it really ends, but thumbs up if you like my ending!

He killed him for a reason he was looking out for his sister and his brother was a murderer who kills for no reason other than he enjoys it. So why would Harrison kills his own father, dexter does actually in a twisted way makes the world a better place. I think Dexter will raise Harrison the same way Harry raised Dexter teach him the "code"

@f0cusen for the reasons i have mentioned in my first post. Because he is responsible for rita's death and because dexter is a serial killer it would be easier if he will only follow the code. dexter's responsible for innocents' death too so he deserves it as well.

@pushunui That will never happend and If you think that you are kidding yourself. Dexter may not be perfect and it is not his intention to kill innocent people and you can't really blame him for Rita's death he did not kill her but I do agree that he should have protected her.
