Stunning production from a British TV company! No Computer graphics here! No Hollywood giants here! Excellent script, cast, direction, editing etc! The 3 hour + epic is available on DVD! Worth every penny... especially the second half.... get your hankies ready! Rlizabeth Spriggs is outstanding as Miss S W. Kenneth Brannagh is in Oscar winning mood - pity Americans did not see the class and skill in this production!

I'm sorry, but this film is nearly 4 hours long, the clips are just meant as a 'taste'. The DVD is still available to buy online from Amazon, Play, HMV (cheapest) etc.

I loved this series, it happened to crossed my way when I found it on a little and considerably unknown swedish channel. I found it so tense, and Branagh's performance is so deeply touching and glowing.

Could you upload the theme song here? I entirely fell in love with that song, and can't find it anywhere...

YEAH! Shackleton! One of my favorites. When I have to do a particularly long, boring chore, like when we went through the house painting each bedroom one after another, out comes the small dvd player blasting Shackleton. It saves my sanity. My youngest child doesn't know that I could do household improvements without it!

Favorite quote: "I SHALL NOT FAIL!"

Favorite "Ken looks so g.d. handsome" moment: At the formal dinner in the tux. I have to sit down for that part.
