@austinlfc98 You need to purchase the Xbox adapter cable kit from our site. The Z6A is a PC headset, it's not really designed to be used on the Xbox, so you have to buy extra cables to make it work.

I'm a fan of your x41 headset when using it with my 360, but I would like the same sound quality on a headset for my PC gaming. I noticed a general concern when it comes to the multi-speaker system of debate: More speakers = less quality drivers for each speaker and thus degraded sound quality.

@blkchpndle The Z6A works just like the HPA. When you use either one on a Mixamp they both work like a stereo headset, not a "true" surround sound headset. If your HPA works fine, I suggest you continue using it.

You've made a loyal customer out of me when TB gave me a repair extension on the hpa2 a year out of warranty. I'm definitely throwing my money at the z6a soon. any chance there will be an optical-in version of the preamp in the future? Also, the internals of the the hpa2 needed cushioning between the wires and drivers to eliminate rattling. has this design flaw of the wires laying directly on the back (and making direct contact) of the drivers been addressed?

I just bought these Z6A headsets and I'm wondering if they can work with ps3 if you get an adapter that has 2 plugs for 1 audio and 1 microphone and turns that into usb? Or can you only get stereo and no chat if you use it on ps3?

@BADDiam You can use them to hear stereo game sound from the PS3. The chat and surround sound features won't work. For PS3/PC I suggest you look at our PX series headsets. We have both wired and wireless versions that work on PS3 and PC.

@weeknight74 You can use the Z6A mic on your PC. It's not USB. The mic connects to the mic input on your PC sound card. The USB is only used to power the amplifier.
@Brynyc125 It does not play surround sound with multiple speakers, as it does on the PC. It uses two speakers with HRTF surround sound, just like the X12. So if you want a headset for XBOX, I suggest you get the X12 and DSS2 instead of the Z6A.
@Hyzing From a consumers perspective.. they made them way over sized.. i am 6"4' with a fairly large head and i still use them with the "setting band" not even pulled out, the smallest setting.

@Berkemeister Yes, but you need an adapter cable and it's not 5.1 on XBOX. If you primarily play on XBOX, get one of our XBOX headsets, like the X12. If you play on PC, the Z6A is a great headset.
Just got these in about 4 hour's ago. Wearing them now. If you see my previous post..you can see the product came quick considering holidays, and that I am replacing Logi g35's. Sound is very crisp and clear and a lot better than g35's... After a bit of tweaking on my sound settings it get's beautiful.
BF3,BFbc2,Skyrim,Css,l4d2,tf2,and others i play regularly.. it all sounds great compared to my old set..Music comes in great as well. Construction seems solid and looks are great.

@xpl0ckx You can't get 5.1 on an XBOX with the Z6A, it works as a stereo headset on XBOX. You'll only get 5.1 when used on a 5.1 PC. You need the XBOX adapter cables that are on our web site. Check the accessories section on the Z6A product pages.
I have all of the plugs in the right spots, but my friends can't hear me in Skype. I can hear the audio from my computer just fine, and the Microphone jack seems to be plugged in correctly. Any idea why? Again, it's set up EXACTLY like how it is in the video. I was previously using the X11's and those worked perfectly.
I need some help, I was going to get an Astro A40 audio system and now I'm thinking about the Turtle Beach Z6A. My questions are, are the two 30mm speakers for game sound on the Z6A the equivalent to a 60mm speaker, and how would the Astro Mixamp Pro work with the headset would it effect the two speakers for game sound or ALL of the speakers?
@KillerFantasyODST No, they're not equivalent to a 60 mm speaker. Not better, not worse, just different. If you use it with a Mixamp, it will fire 2 speakers per headset. For what it's worth, the A40 headset is roughly comparable to our Z2 (though the Z2 has larger speakers), but the A40 costs more than 2x as much and doesn't sound nearly as good. I understand the need for a Mixamp if you want LAN chat for tournaments, but I'd encourage you to use one of our headsets with it.
If I buy the Amigo II USB adapter, would I be able to use these with my PS3? I'm probably getting these for Christmas, and want to use them for both PC and PS3. I fully understand the audio will not be as good, I'm fine with that. Thanks in advance.

I have the PX3 hooked up to my PC. I have it set up to have separate control for game sounds and for chat (vent/skype). Can I do the same with the Z6A?

I'm thinking about ordering these, but I also just ordered a new computer for christmas and i'm pretty sure it has an on-board 7.1 (or 9.1 cant remember) does it matter if it is on-board? it'l still have all the hookups right?

@Schavox It needs 5.1 channels and it doesn't matter if it's on the motherboard or on a separate sound card.

@Berkemeister Yes, but you need an adapter cable and it's not 5.1 on XBOX. If you primarily play on XBOX, get one of our XBOX headsets, like the X12. If you play on PC, the Z6A is a great headset.

Just got these in about 4 hour's ago. Wearing them now. If you see my previous post..you can see the product came quick considering holidays, and that I am replacing Logi g35's. Sound is very crisp and clear and a lot better than g35's... After a bit of tweaking on my sound settings it get's beautiful.
BF3,BFbc2,Skyrim,Css,l4d2,tf2,and others i play regularly.. it all sounds great compared to my old set..Music comes in great as well. Construction seems solid and looks are great.

Hello I just got one of these for Christmas. I didn't know you needed one of those Xbox cables for using the Xbox. :( This is the only available model that I saw here in the Philippines. Where can I get the Xbox cable in the U.S.?

@ssgtjoegross You can get it on Amazon. Also, if you're using an HDTV, check if it has analog RCA outputs. If it does, then you can use those to connect the headset.

I plan to use this exclusively for PC. I have all the different coloured ports on my pc required as seen in this video but I only have the onboard sound card on my asus crosshair iv formula mobo. Will this work properly at 5.1 surround sound like this or will I need to go buy a dedicated sound card too?

I want a new headset because the microfone from my (roccat kave) stopped working because of cable damage.I think I will get this headset but can you tell me if the quality of the cables are good? Because I don't want that the cables are getting damaged again.

@defns Yes, the cable also has a quick disconnect, so if you move too far from the PC it will pull out and separate rather than damage the cable.

@xpl0ckx You can't get 5.1 on an XBOX with the Z6A, it works as a stereo headset on XBOX. You'll only get 5.1 when used on a 5.1 PC. You need the XBOX adapter cables that are on our web site. Check the accessories section on the Z6A product pages.

I have all of the plugs in the right spots, but my friends can't hear me in Skype. I can hear the audio from my computer just fine, and the Microphone jack seems to be plugged in correctly. Any idea why? Again, it's set up EXACTLY like how it is in the video. I was previously using the X11's and those worked perfectly.

I need some help, I was going to get an Astro A40 audio system and now I'm thinking about the Turtle Beach Z6A. My questions are, are the two 30mm speakers for game sound on the Z6A the equivalent to a 60mm speaker, and how would the Astro Mixamp Pro work with the headset would it effect the two speakers for game sound or ALL of the speakers?

@KillerFantasyODST No, they're not equivalent to a 60 mm speaker. Not better, not worse, just different. If you use it with a Mixamp, it will fire 2 speakers per headset. For what it's worth, the A40 headset is roughly comparable to our Z2 (though the Z2 has larger speakers), but the A40 costs more than 2x as much and doesn't sound nearly as good. I understand the need for a Mixamp if you want LAN chat for tournaments, but I'd encourage you to use one of our headsets with it.
