  • watch this fools other video he pulls his gfs dread right off with no effort at all crocher=t destroys dreads and this guys single handedly responsible for an epidemic of ruined weak dreads he even dares to claim it broke cause he didnt crochet it enough

  • never crochet dreads! you break hairs with everry poke your creating the loose hairs your fixing and weakening the dreads in the process making you a slave to the hook .. worse advice everr crochet is extremely destrucvtive and takes 6 months to recover from 1 use

  • Thank you so much for this video! It helped me a lot!!

  • if i don't pull my loose hair all the way through they just slide out, whats up with that?

  • Lol If i had dreads that nice, i wouldn't mind the loose hairs, it would lock up naturally and stay locked tighter.

  • how big is that needle? tulip.7 mm?

  • how big is that needle? tulip.75?

  • how can i get loose hairs which is at the root of the loc into the loc? i can't them to stay inside and find it extremely hard to get the loose hairs into the loc from there.

  • Can you do a video on how to tighten the roots? By the way your videos are very helpful

  • How do you tighten the roots?

  • I've had mine for almost four years now. I chose this style because I think it's beautiful, cool, natural etc., but also because I really don't give a damn. I didn't want to care about my hair and think about it all the time, thus I now have have a small afro and a lot of locks, but I love it. And others compliment me on it. The afro-lock blend gives more volume. I like it this way. I like that I don't do shit and still manage to have a flattering hairstyle. Haha! Now THAT's relaxed hair.

  • this is the video m searching for..thank u man...u explains so nice...so perfect..simply awesome...thank u so much now i can do it in mine :)

  • What size needle to use for smaller dreads?

  • this is a great vid and i really appreciate it but this is really hard. i cant do it. seems when you release in the middle it can fall out again easily. i want to learn this way because i think most locticians use it, its the best when mastered probably. at the moment i am using sewing method.

  • this is really hard to do on your own head while looking or not looking in a mirror

  • what is the size of you hook?

  • Thank you for your Dreadlock videos. They are a different style than my Locist does but they are very useful. I am having a problem with my dreads near the edges. Such as the ears, the crown, etc. I have found that those are the hard areas for me to keep the hairs in the locks. I find that after the locks are tightened within a couple of weeks, some of the hairs are back out of the lock. I have heard of using rubber bands to hold the in place so they can lock in place. Any advice?

  • very good!! thanks a lot!

  • My have have been loc'd for 4 months now, do your hair have to be totally loc'd to do this technique? Mine is not totally loc'd but I do have alot of loose hair.

  • This method will work for your hair as long as your locs are not twists. Meaning if your locs are formed from knots then the crochet hook will help grab those loose hairs and pull them back into the loc helping them to form more knots.

  • my idea of alot is significantly different than that

  • i wished i was able to have nice full dreads like these ones... ive tried to crochet mine, but they never seem to be any nicer.. im getting reeaaallly frusturated because my dreads dont look good at all and theyre at a month and half old about, can you help me ? i posted a video update on mine, so you can have a look if you want. but i need help alot.. thanks

  • Every bodys hair is different and therefore their dreads will be different too. For thin straight hair I suggest only light maintenance as the dreads stabilize. Realize that with straight hair in a dread loc there will always be loose hairs and hair ends sticking out. When there is a large grouping then pull it back into the loc with the crochet hook.

  • The correct term is HAIR LOCKING. The term "Dred/dread came from people who were scared of the hair style, hence the word DRED/DREAD.

  • @Modacolorist Fag.

  • It IS the correct term because there is NOTHING DREAD Full about locs. Its ok for me to be a FAG cause i am FEMALE. So FAG back at ya

  • your so amazing, is there anyway to put up a link to where to purchase the EXACT crochet needle that your using? Because there is no place in USA with that size.

  • naw, they have some in US lol. I'm looking for one myself and they sell them at craft stores and stuff.

  • they do but not in the size he has .{7mm}, trust me ive looked everywhere.lol

  • Oh, duh, lol. I forgot to tell you that the US doesnt measure by the metric system (meters). We have our own numbers for crochet hooks. The .7mm equivolance in da states is "13". Not 13cm or 13(fill in da blank), just "13". Look for that number instead.

  • appreciate it my brother, Ive been trying this method using a size 8 {1.50mm} its pretty small just not small enough thanks for the info and dont forget to check out my journey update coming soon ............ dreadlove

  • its 0,7 mm

  • how much do one charge for this technique in the states?

  • Thank you!
