I've got heaps in my house and they're like my pets! Huntsmans only bite when cornered but unfortunately they do silly things get into handbags...that's how people get bitten-not because they have a vendetta against us.
@Ercolano78 We have their relatives in Far North Queensland, the bird eating spider. They have huge webs to trap birds, and they eat them. They are related to the tarantula.
there has been load of these this summer ( opps I mean winter ) weird as last summer I did not see one, so far this summer I have had 4 of these beasts in the house
Got bit by one when i was a kid.....got a big chunk of flesh missing on my foot....still i never kill spiders...got a lot of respect for poisonous critters.....got bit by a pygmy rattler on the hand when i was 13 here in Florida.......hurt like hell but really not as bad as the spider bite....I miss living in Australia! When i was in the Marines I seen guys bit by shit they didn't even see.....fucking scary shit bro!
@NigelCrommwell well australia has the most poisonous snakes and spiders in the world. The only reason sydney has no crocodiles is that the sharks ate them
@Iittlegalah Haha, the huntsmen are not really that poisonous, but they have a painful bite and scare you to death. They cause more deaths from car accidents than bites, as they love to crawl into the car and live behind the sun visor. You move the visor and, SURPRISE, and usually, people crash their cars in shock.
@saintfletcher do a little bit more reading about the females, they can do nasty bites and can be aggressive, especially when protecting their 200 young

@leokimvideo This one was chasing me, it chased me after I filmed, I turned it off as I had to get the broom. It must be mating season, they get aggressive. It's the funnel web spiders that you have to watch out for when they have a mating season, but they are too heavy to climb that far up. Funnel Webs like shoes and crawling between sheets. The little bastards!
@TheFatAussieBarstard And this is real. Not like Leo. This is not that big, but it positioned itself in intimidating positions. I got the broom out. They do bite.
I guess you left via the window! Ew ew ew ew ew ew ew l

@Tobie2 Um, yeah, they are everywhere around Australia, so we can't escape them. There are fewer where I live than other places as I'm in the city.
