Really this is so hard to play, the picking patterns and variations are more complex than anything I've tried to learn before. I've got the hang of the intro and verse but the timing in some areas is difficult.

@Lizardking270 I'm taking this on as well, found tabs but as you may have experienced they show riffs and verse but don't put them in order and you have to peice it together.. have you put them together or found tabs that show how to play it through in order?

@stashadog I used a tab but I just played along with the song and listened to get the order right, although I still need work with the rhythm, especially when singing at the same time. Good luck!

Jeez!! This song is so difficult to play. It's driven me nuts for a while now. This is sincerely one of the best covers I have heard. Only James Edge's version rivals it (and hey, James is a pretty awesome artist). Playing this is the holy grail for Nick Drake fans in my opinion, it has every element of his complete genius in it.

You're going to go far in this music business Tobias, this is true skill and talent.

It is a tough one. Not even to get technically right, but for me to keep concentrated for nearly seven minutes ;-) Well, it's still one of my favourites, and there are many many great tributes out there.

Well, you could try it with Clothes of Sand, Mayfair or Joey. maybe Day is Done.

I also really enjoyed Leaving me Behind, Winter is Gone and Strange Meeting, when I began exploring his work on the guitar.

More to name than one would think. Most of them here are in Standard tuning too.

Great to learn the picking, different patterns and styles.

I can only tell from my experiences of course, but I'm sure you'll play them with ease. :)

I thought about setting it to private and just checking the overall mix. (Still many flaws and mistakes)

But now that it seems to be okay to listen to.. I'm really glad you enjoyed it so far! Maybe I'm not as statisfied about the take as I should be ;-) I played it in BBDGBE (Low E string down, A string up to a B)
