This song takes me down memory lane. Haven't heard it for more than a quarter century. Its priceless. Beautifully sang by KK. Thanks for posting. Who says that the past never comes back? Songs like this one are like medicine which takes us back live into the past. It allows us to re-live our childhood experience and to see all our loved ones who have gone from this world. Jeeyo mere laal.
@princekolkata hey im really sorry for this...i changed my mind about kishore. he was an amazing singer and actor. heavy loss for cinema. still i think he had respectless behaviour towards women but most actors had. so....sorry again :)
jeeyo mere lal,JEEYO KISHORE KUMAR for singing such a wonderful song.heard i after many years.none of KKs compilations CDs,MP3 has this beautiful song, available in music stores.thanks.
Would you have the song which features Keshto as a beggar from this movie? I had seen this movie on Doordarshan in the late 1970's or early 1980's.
Keshto as a beggar's sidekick is utterly convincing as a person with bent over bones and body. There is a song picturised on this pair, after the song Keshto straightens up and then once again bends over.
i have always rated this movie amongst my TOP 10. It was sort of a 3 in 1 movie, linked by a house where the tenants, who symbolise marriage, death and birth come and go. The 3 sequences are linked by David- the house owner, and Mohan Choti, the chai wala. Dilip Kumar in the second sequence has put in a memorable performance
Hey Rahul...thanks a hell lot. been searching for this video song..long time...this is our famly song for the last 34 yrs atleast...my dad wud sing it for my elder bro and me and now they and my bro and i sing it for our daughters now...lol
Thanks a lot Rahul bhai for this wonderful masterpiece. This is my baby girl Aisha's favorite song. In fact it acts as a pacifier for her as she easily dances / sleeps when I play this song. Thanks again. Cheers
In the beginning of the song, the audio is not so good... but its just for a few seconds.. This is the only video I have (for this song) so something's always better than nothing:)

kishore cannot act.....he absolutely overacts in each of his films.
okay his singing is good but cannot reach talat mahmood, rafi and mukesh:)
but the worst thing of him is his personaltity: arrogant, stupid and a bad way to deal with women!!!! i don't like him...

The sound is different than I used to hear on Radio Cylon.
those days studio used two versions of a song.
One for the records and the other to be used in a movie, sometimes even live.
