  • CHAPMAN COLLEGE, located in Orange, in Orange County CA did this a few yrs ago---well done; very funny.

  • cool. my school did rocky horror picture show. I played janet.

  • This is a beast :)

  • man, that must have been a wicked show!!!

  • oh man I just wish there was better audio.

  • Sorry...I messed up the dynamics when I transfered it.

  • just got picked as prospero today cant find many videos as him though :(

  • Were doing this show for our school play but ther isnt that many parts so i hope i get a good part

  • haha we are doin retern to the forbidden planet for our school musical this year and we have such a good cast!!!

  • Did you guys have an ID monster?

  • Yes. It was a series of large vacume tubes with claws that came down from the tech grid.

  • I wonder why this wasn't just named "The Tempest 2010" or something. It seems to have more to do with the Shakespeare play than "Forbidden Planet" .

I know, FP was also based on the Tempest, but this play seems to have little to do with the movie's premise.

Yes, it does look like fun in its own right.

  • It's positively obscene to see a musical this poorly written given such ridiculously high production values.

  • i am infact doin this show and its so much fun and it starts next week and all nughts apart from one are sold out so what ever it is the audience like it

  • Are you kidding?!?! This is one of the coolest musicals ever! And it's sci fi, so it's great!

  • I'm not denying that it's fun to do. I even enjoyed watching it myself. But it is one of the most lazily written shows EVER.

  • Hello,You really have to go and see the show to get into it, in fact it's one of those shows you have to see several times.I have seen the official show seven times ,once in the west end of London and it is one of the best shows I have ever seen. The writing is very clever, lots of the jokes come from misquoting Shakespeare as in "two beeps or not two beeps that is the question" I played "cookie" recently (see fincaman2) I suppose I should have known better at my age but I had a lot of fun !!!

  • i love this musical!!

theres another one really similar to it called 'take off - the musical', i actually like it better! i think a couple of groups are taking it to the Edinburgh fringe this year. if your gona be there you should try and catch it

  • i remember playing capt. tempest... haha best play i've been in soo far...

  • I saw this musical for the first time last thursday and loved it! I fell head over heels for Prospero 0.0 I'm crazy!

  • who is the lead girl role?

  • OMG lol i had to do this for my College Course of our Final Maijor Project (FMP) it went really well aswell

  • thanks!

  • Ooh I've got an audition for this in a couple of weeks for the school production!

  • Good luck!

  • im doin this 4 a musical lol

  • wow... wicked.... very proffesional

  • what character is the girl in this?

  • In this scene, Captain Tempest recognises Prospero, a great scientist who fifteen years ago defected to the other side. Prospero rejects this saying he was the victim of a dreadful plot. Touched by his tale, Tempest welcomes him on his ship. Later...the air-lock opens and Prospero enters followed by a beautiful girl. Prospero introduces her as his daughter, Miranda. She has seen no other humans except her father and immediately falls in love with Captain Tempest. This actress is Miranda.

  • Thank you

  • Do you have any more clips from your show? we are trying to sell the idea of this show to our high school class and yours is the best production we've seen.

  • Ha, me too mate! Where's your's to?

  • what is that symbol on the floor and where did it come from

  • my school is doing it at the moment! :P

  • my school did that and it was awesome

was the biggest performance king edwards has ever done lol so they made a massive fuss but it was awesome

  • This looks like little kids getting attention from their parents.

  • Hey, great preformance! I've just unsuspectanly been cast as Tempest in my colleges production of Return to the Forbidden Planet. Anyone got any Do's and Don't's when playing him? I'm sure there millions of things that can/will go wrong but anything that might make me look slightly better will be very much appreciated!

  • tempestmod,

Thanks for the comment! My only advice is to attack the role without fear!

  • Cheers, I'll do my best, haha.

  • hey, cool, iplayed Gloria/ Science Officer. I know how hard this show can be to do as there are so many ques that have to be [erfect with the music! Its exhaisting but totally worth it when you nail it!

  • i played miranda it was sooo fun to do ! XO

  • lol! i played tempest too! cool! haha

  • This production looks amazing! we're opening this show tonight in an outdoor theatre in cornwall, so the set is alot different to this, we also have an ensemble of about 30 people! Your Miranda was amazing, loved the dance aswell :)

  • How did you opening go?

  • Really well! I'm playing Navigation Officer and during the Polarity Reversal Drill I managed to get the whole theatre standing up lol. Hopefully all the audiences will be like that :)

  • im playing miranda in our school play, no way can i do as well as this, but oh well.

  • ive seen much better mirandas

  • im doing this for my summer production its gonna be a blast !!

  • My dramatics group is thinking about putting this on. But I'm not sure we've got the talent or stage space. How demanding a piece is it?

  • This is a perfect piece for any level of production. Most of the scenes take place on the bridge of Captain Tempest's ship. The songs are all pop songs so the performers can make them their own. The choreography can also be simple or complex according to the situation.

  • we are doing this in july X this is relli good very good actress :)

  • Jade,

Thanks for the comment. The actress playing Miranda did a fantastic job! I hope your production goes well!

  • This is really good

    What a beautiful Stage!!

And everyones in character so amazingly

Loved your Tempest, im playing him now at my college. Its not as big as this my a long shot

  • Thanks for the comment! Sorry it took so long to reply. How did your production go?

  • Its okay

    We haven't performed it yet

Its in two weeks. Im on half term this week but its time to go in every day and build the set, gonna fun!!

  • Break a leg!
