  • You are absolutely right you do need kick out flashing. I have a 5 year old fancy brick house with one corner of the house without a kick out flashing, however counter wall flashing was installed right and of course the roof. Any time rain or snow melting slowly you see the entire corner underneath the cutter very well wet, water make its way behind the brick and make it very wet. Simple stupid mistake, big problem. So yes you do need the kick out flashing........

  • THE PROBLEM IS BECAUSE THEY INSTALLED THE FLASHING BEFORE SHINGLES AND ALSO CORNER FLASHING IS NOT CORRECTLY INSTALLED AND PROPERLY SEALED.

ON THIS CASE STARTER COURSE AND FIRST ROW OF SHINGLES SHOULD BE ISNTALLED BEFORE FLASHING OR UNDERNEAT FLASHING.

  • you wrong , if flashing on wall is correctly install you dont need a piece a flashing sticking out of corner.

  • @2miangels you need a kick out. if you dont kick yourflashing out into the trough, it will rot the wall out, ive seen it many times, you dont just slap flashing onto a wall. i once had a whole chimney wall rot 2 stories down to the basement because the original roofer did not kick out his flashing. if the stucco is black, it means theres probably no wall left,
