  • I was actually told by the Metropolitan Police (the ones who are now being repremanded over failing to investigate the murder of Stephen Lawrence properly) that the man who raped me and was using the secret family courts to stalk and harass me had the same rights as if he had been my husband or partner, and that I had fallen through a loophole as rape victims were expected to have an abortion. He took me to court for 7 years. I am still in recovery over the awful ordeal or rape and persecution

  • Not wanting to be nasty to the wonderful person who made this video, but if you try to escape from a violent partner in the UK and you have children the likelihood is that you will be accused of Parental Alienation Syndrome, the children taken off you and given to your violent partner. That sounds unbelievable, but it is happening every day all over the UK thanks to Richard Gardner.

  • I recently got into a healthy relationship with a man who treats me like I'm a queen...and I find that I'm still having problems adjusting...I'm super jumpy, I find myself questioning his actions and I'm always trying hard to please him even thought I know, logically, I make him happy just the way I am. Is it bad that I still wonder what I did wrong before to get treated the way I was treated?

  • @kerryann88710 I know exactly how you feel. I have also found a wonderful man, but I still have issues. I love him but the abuse of the past has made me keep him at arms length.

  • I only wish you can see the truth babe.

Denial is the greatest obstacle to overcome before you realise your situation is 'wrong' regardless of religion and family honour! - Read the other comments.

I know you will never give up on your kids... I will never give up on you x

  • Im a survivor...this was very real and touching...I wish this could be a commercial on tv to help raise awareness...they have commercials for abused animal...they say its to graphic for tv...what about us that went through it?It was very graphic for us...by the way I have 3 rescued animals!:)

  • Thank you WomanInterrupted for posting this video. Although the large majority of victims are female, domestic violence affects everyone, including the children who witness the violence. Violence in all forms in rampant in our society, but acknowledging the problem is the first step in addressing it. We have the power as a society to say NO MORE if we hold all offenders accountable and believe and support those individuals who are being hurt. WE can stop it.

  • what about the domestic abuse of the husband?its not just fuckin women who suffer.you think the world owes you something

  • any man that would do this to the women he's says he loves is a ashole.Great up bringing.A man would control himself.Have pride in your self. What do you teach your kids.Oh its alright she pissed me off.Thats teaching them right.

  • well in fairness she really shouldn't have burnt the roast.

  • haha :-)

  • You should have put in the beginning Women AND men. I know some boys who have been in an abusive relationship

  • So have I.

  • I have been an advocate of women's rights, nursed battered friends back to health & seen them run back to abusive men. Lobbied for funds to build a million square foot facility to house battered girls & women. And stood in the breech. But I have never had a woman fall in love with me & want me to marry me. I am over half a century old, no ex wives, no illegitimate kids & one dead aborted child by her x mom. I can't tell you what women want when it comes to love. But I know they don't want abuse.

  • Really? Bull-crap! My wife through a jar of pickles at my head and it cut the crap outta me. Then she scratched the shit outta me with her nails and kicked me in the balls then through ammonia in my face! Yet, I in defense, pushed her extremely hard down to the ground bruising her slightly. She called the cops and guess who cops always side with on domestic violence-right!the woman! They took me away to lock-up, still bleeding! And all for what? Because I refused to let her return my X-BOX. Damn

  • I know that women can be quite mean in many ways.Men & women are obviously quite different.A woman who is angry at her husband may do things like withhold sex, talk shit about him to him & others, hide his credit cards and generally make his life miserable without physically touching him(although some women will tear a man to pieces)Men handle emotions differently. They are more physical by nature while women are more emotional in every aspect. Put 2 together and someones gettin' beaten-guess who?

  • Women need to get empowered.Once they do that they can start kicking those wife-beating bastards asses. Most women have no empowerment and do not fight back.Call N.O.W. Those women are scary as Hell and I would hate to be a women beater and run into N.O.W. N.O.W. empowers women. These women have no right to make videos like this. Just start taking action yourself already women! There are many outlets. Sadly most abused women are those that lack self-confidence, self-esteem,pride,or spirituality.

  • Why are there no videos of all the men who are abused on youtube?

  • Yeah! My wife through a dish at my head and it cut the crap outta me. Then she scratched the shit outta me with her nails and kicked me in the balls! Yet, I in defense, pushed her extremely hard down to the ground bruising her slightly. She called the cops and guess who cops always side with on domestic violence-right!the woman! They took me away to lock-up, still bleeding! What's up with that?!

  • That is such a shame.....I also know men who have been victims of abusive relationships and guess what? they can't fight back because the abusive bitch clicks her fingers and he is the one who gets arrested. it's a shame....I am a woman and i do believe it is a huge flaw in the system.

  • @thejanefactor Yes men get abused too and I don't think that is fair. Women think they can hit a man because they are the weaker sex and that makes it ok. I am against any and all abuse. I just happen to be a woman so I made one against females. They system is definately flawed.

P.S. I've never been abused, thank God. :)

  • @thejanefactor I think it's creepy that you have chosen to come onto this video channel and talk about "abusive bitch". There are women on here who have suffered years of abuse. Can't you have a little bit of respect for them?

  • what a boner killer...

  • BULLSHIT.

    FEMINAZI PROPAGANDA

  • moron

  • I suffered DV myself from my alcohloic husband. And I still am struggling for come back to normal life.It can bring you the brink of suicide and still I feel myself worthless breathing insect.Who came in this world to be suffered.

  • get some self-esteem classes or something. You are not a failure or worthless he was! I must suggest you get God in your life. Start to pray deeply and read his infallible Word-the Bible. We have woman who were once like you in our church. They are embraced by all of us there. Surround yourself by love and loving people. It helped me with my major depressive disorder. It will help you. Jesus loves you.

  • what does animal sheters have to do with this animals arent being rescued cause they made an idiot dession to be with an abusive basterd we rescue animals from real live human monsters that pray upon them for the hell of it, so you really shouldnt be comparing the two, I consider that a loooooooow blow.

  • who the hell said anything about animal shelters dude?

  • THEN LEAVE THE WOMAN

  • 4 million women beaten a year in the US? So we d better talk about the predicament of women in this country rather than focusing on a few handpicked images of women of burka slapped by a caveman in a far land.

  • That's not funny...grow up abuse is a serious problem!!!

  • if you cant laugh at how absurd life is you should probably just die

  • how would you feel if you got yourself into an abusive relationship and people laughed at you?? give me an honest answer and don't be a smart ass!!

  • Look, all of you. It is not only women, we all know that. But abuse is abuse and it is NEVER wantented. End of story. Cut the male chauvisem. It is faulty, superiority my rear on both sides. But the ugly fact is, that prodomently, it is the /women/ who are abused. Ugly fact, but again a fact. So do find a way to pull your heads out of your asses use a crane if needed but get it out. It is sick, and it is wrong. No debating about it.

  • Wow, that was great! Also, don't forget the V-Day Worldwide Campaign to Stop Violence Against Women and Girls at vdaydotorg - you can join the fight by organizing a V-Day production of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues, raising money and awareness around the world.
