Adopting a single official language would save tons of money ( 23 copies of the same documents ??), would facilitate movement of labor and has the potential to improve the schizoid idea of "European identity".

Humanitarian aid is traditional for Bulgarians. We do it all the time through the Bulgarian Red Cross and NGOs. I am not sure what is done at the government level, though. However, the fact that she could not answer such a basic question related to her job is disturbing.
