I love this too. I felt compelled to go to Paris on bloomsday 2004.(100 year anniversary) Lots of people read Molly Bloom pieces on the quay with the sound of Notre Dame flowing past. I will never foget it..
Very nice, wish I could have been there. I love the book, my dad gave me a copy in 1990 and I'll be reading it for the rest of my life. Went to Dublin in 1993 (not in June unfortunately) and visited some of the sites in the book. As you can see from my screen name I'm a fan.
I'm fairly certain it is Sandymount strand that Stephen is walking on. That would be name of the strand near Ringsend and Irishtown.

Yes, you are right, it is Sandymount strand.
Unfortunately I can't correct the sound track. Perhaps others will read your comment - and mine.

I'm currently reading Ulysses again (my 2nd time) 5 pages at a time. Takes me AGES and I don't pick it up everyday, but it is relaxing.
One year I am going to get involved in the festivities in Dublin (very near where I live).
Apparently Ireland is one of the FEW european countries that DOESN'T have Joyce on the academic curriculum. He was actually banned here for years.
