Some locks are too well made - there is no space to get the shim around the shackle and into the lock. Okay for crappy locks. Why didn't you guys show the Master being shimmed?
because of shims, me n 7 friends took over 15 things n we got caught at school n we got arrested n were took to path. dont use these for stealing ever cuz i learned my lesson.
These padlock shims work. I use them at school to mess around with my friends. The problem is learning how to get it right. I went through roughly 30 shims until I figured it out. Once I did I can pop locks open in roughly 5 seconds without pliers or twisting.
Hooty, shut up you bastard, and Ekl919 it's because you either have a new lock and your spring is too strong for the aluminum to move. Or, That you need yo start from the side of the lock and then towards the spring, Good Luck picking! And shims are for beginners, learn the math way to find out how to get in a combination lock, much better and can never fail you.
the soda can shims only work on the crappy colored padlocks and other cheap ones.
doesnt work well on the regular non-colored master lock ones and the lock shims break after 3 times usually.but if your a kid stealing ipods out of lockers i guess its a nice start, lol
The problem is you cut a V shape (or thats how you stated it). The sharp pointed cut will create pressure on the cut points tearing the can. None of the cuts should have sharp angled cuts. All the cuts should be rounded and wavy.
I you guys intended it to be informational, but as a person that does an IPTV show, i know how people tend to think when something easy and potentially illegal comes about (key word.. potentially).
Nox says V shape but he clearly makes a U shape just a small mistake our apologies.
Information in all our videos could be used in a malicious way, but if the general public is not aware of a problem how can we began to protect ourselves against it? IPTV show is called Full Disclosure for a reason.
Well, from doing my own IPTV show, Bastard Sons of Dial-Up, i only know too well that people dont pay attention to the detail, or even research the things showcased. Check the show out sometime ;}
I feel the same way. Know how the criminals work to protect yourself, but you dont want to put the wrong tools in the hands.
I tried this about a month ago with two friends. Combined we were only able to get it ONCE. I dont know if it was the master lock we were using but to do it i had to use a pair of pliers and that was the last time. The shim always folds up, doesnt seem to be strong enough. Some vid recommended using the little metal from floppy disks so i will have to try that. U have any tips that may help?
dude u didnt do the numba 3 masta but its hard to do wit the homemade shims store bought r betta for the double side spring locks nice vid tho
also i find that just getin a small strip of a can bout 2 inches long and folden it in half and slidin it down the shaft works betta and it doesnt break as easily
Yea, the master lock is very hard with homemade shims... we tried like 20 times to get it, but it just wouldn't open. Locksmith shims are definitely needed.
There is no doubt you can shim a Master combination padlock with soda can shims!Check out my channel and watch me do it!I have found that if the tip is square rather than the triangular shaped it goes down alot easier!
if you know how to bypass the 130-140 master lock then ull understand what i mean by this. first put one shim on the master lock whatever one that is double locking but make sure its on the part of the latch that comes out of the lock then put a pick in the back and bypass it like the 130-140 master check out brunnos vid for that bypass and ill try to upload the vid of me shiming like this
HAHA YES! glad to know I am not the only guy in the world that loves backtrack, lockpicking AND Korn! epic combo bro!

I Never Tried It, But If It Works. Can You Make A Vid Showing How To Open A Pad Lock When Its Locked Onto Something?
BJsTyLeZ 1 year ago
This works V E R Y well! :-)
People, My daughter can do it. although, a blue faced Master combo lock has defeated all attempts! :-)

Naw, this doesn't work. In most cases a shim made out of light aluminum will rip.
AddSomeCheese 2 years ago
I can never get the lock to open. Either I can't get the shim in or the shim actually rips. IdeaS?

after seeing the shims open the lock i STILL dont under stand how its working.
gummywormz 3 years ago
Basically, the metal shim is moving the piece of metal out of the gap in the left shackle, allowing it to open.

Try shimming the master padlock on the right (not the dial one) next time, it's much harder..

Can you shim the dual-latch master lock (key lock not combination) that is shown in this video?
Gregorpm 4 years ago
Yes,but I get more satisfaction from picking.I would recommend professional shims for this since the bolt spring has a lot higher tension.

thats brilliant! i know you can only bypass half of that lock, so a shim will do the rest!
