This and "God bless our love" are 2 of the best slow jams of all time.Gene is still out there singing,i just wish he would do his old r and b songs,along with the pop ones.We still remember the old days.

Talk about an UNsung Talent , this guy was, and still is GREAT! He performs with the Doo Wop Troup, Bowser and co but he doesn't sing these soul jams, just Duke of Earl

The Duke of Earl could REALLY sing. Gene Chandler wasn't just a gimmick of the early 60's. He was the real deal! Imagine that. Go Gene go!!! Of course, the Percy Mayfield production didn't hurt a thing - accentuated the passionate, powerful voice of GC.
