A somewhat weak reading, but an excellent poem. Addicting - be it to gambling, painkillers, illegal drugs or anything else - is a terrible condition and one I know far too much about for my own liking. More needs to be done to treat victims and to foster understanding in society.

people rarely become violent as a direct result of drug use, most of the time they were already violent beforehand. this asshole harmed a little girl in a trully disgusting manner, that's what he should go to prison for! and markus is right, it won't solve any problems to throw all drug offenders in jail.. if they actually did, it would be more than half of the population. considering valium use, alchohol use, cannabis use, tobacco use, or do these not count? drawing a line somewhere?
i sadly disagree when it comes to meth, i've had personel experience with good people who turned bad due to a meth habit, it has a 9 percent recovery rate lower than heroin, meth has become the most evil drug there is, it turns good people into violent people.
