  • Greatings from Lithuania ;)

  • she sounds amazing,.. people don't realize how hard that song is to sing.

  • Turn the captions on; I love "Let's Do You Mean (Let's Starting Now)."

  • Love her! She sounds a little uptight and nervous here tho :)

  • AMAMOS ALANIS,AMAMOS ALANIS, LINDONA QUE VOZ, QUE ENTREGA QUE BOM OUVIR ISSO........

  • Perfeito! Alanis é maravilhosa! tanto talento! Que voz perfeita! lindo demais!

Alanis eu te amo! bravo, bravo

  • what genre could this song be considered as?

  • Cole Porter is certainly smiling down on her. This is quite an awesome rendition and not many singers can make this song their own.

  • I always new Alanis had a pretty voice, but I never knew she, herself, was so pretty too! A cutie to boot!

  • Usually i like long hair ladies but Alanis's hair in thid is beautiful, although i prefer her with her long and wispy, i love Alanis by the way

  • She's awesome

  • Alanis is very fantastic vocalist!!

  • Hasselback?! Was this on the View?

    Anyway... Alanis delivers as always!

  • great song

    lovely version

  • we'll, its ok, its just my opinion, I feel like she is performing much more a pop rock song version than a jazz band one. I still enjoyed to see this anyway

  • It's amazig

  • She blew that one line at 1:51.

The lyrics is "Moths in the Rugs do it, what's the use of moth balls?"

Not that I can blame her; Cole Porter lyrics are complex, like a code.

  • What show was this? I saw the film but didn't know they didn't promos on shows.

  • i enjoyed it until that dumb bitch came out

  • very nice and fresh. interesting syncopation away from the typical layout...

  • Really cool arrangement, not too jazzy, more like a dance band of the 1920's would perform it.

  • Me am Bizarro, and me am think us shouldn't fall in hate.

  • is that from a musical?

  • 5 stars

  • Wow. Alanis is so talented. One of the few artists who really doesn't need the studio to give her that star-quality voice Amazing!

  • Nice rendition. She's a little short of breath, tho.

    thanks for the post.

  • it s cute

  • I am soo in love with this song!

  • Great version of this song from a singer who's obviously not a jazz singer (though Alanis Morissette has a very good voice, one is just not used to hear her sing those songs...). I like it, it's different!

  • this is perfection, seriously...

  • I LOVE this song sooo much!!!

  • one of my fave singers singing my fave song from my fave songwriter cole porter. so cool

  • yeah...you is a luck guy...=D

  • haha i a lucky GIRL. last time i checked i have all the holes in the right places

  • Honestly why take the time to rebuke that statement? The fact that you say 'all the holes in the right places' makes me think 'Guy In Real Life'

  • How could you not this is one of the greatest songs of all time!

  • Love the sparkles in her eyes and the smile on her face while performing. :) Seems like she's enjoying singing this funny song.:)

  • Her voice is different, but I wouldn't call it annoying.

  • i honestly LOVE this son.... I fall in love with it! xD

  • lol Billallman couldn't have put it better myself lol tho maybe not so dignified. Her voice is amazing and worthy of a Cole Porter classic!!!

  • An amazing delivery of one of the truly great songs of the 20th Century. If you don't like it, fine (reveals a deep character flaw) but don't try to "review" the work, do try to do something 25% as good. When you do, we'll see your name in lights instead of YouTube text.

  • I love alanis, but she hasnt the voice to perform this kind of music

  • I think Kim Basinger performed it real good

  • @oscaragp I do not agree. I really enjoyed listening this song by her

  • @oscaragp -- I really disagree. I think it is an utterly charming version, very well sung and very much worth sharing with others.

  • She delivers effortlessly.

  • I have her album 'Jagged little pill' and have always apprecited her voice. Watching this however I realise what an extraordinary talent she has. I can think of many female pop stars who would only embarrass themselves trying to follow that.

  • Reviews of Irwin Winkler's 'De-Lovely' (2004) had been lukewarm a best. Had resolved not to give the movie a chance until I happened to catch Alanis' unconventional version of 'Let's Do It' on a morning TV show which happily changed my mind: much credit to director Winkler, Ashley Judd and Kevin Klein. Purchased the DVD version (recently purloined by another Cole Porter admirer). Porter and Feinstein might disapprove but the whole affair is simply phenomenal. Look up 'So in Love,' also here.

  • i love this version.

  • her eyes are dead

  • whatever, her eyes are smiling

  • What are you guys even talking about? You can barely even see her eyes with the quality.

  • That sucks the big poppa

  • I think her version is great, contemporary, upbeat and sexy.

  • This is terrible! Alanis is great, but she can't pull it off. She's singing in her nose and sounds whiny.

  • Wrong inflections for this song, but still good.

Leonard Feather would wake up in his grave and start scratching in his notebook. One has to be very careful singing out of idiom.

  • yiha never saw her doing that live... love it! =)

  • i want the mp3 ,please someone can help me , i prefer this version than the original one

  • If you haven't found it yet, it's on her "The collection" album

  • its on limewire.

  • I love this song! and I love this Oerformance, she is great! she sings lovely.

  • has NOTHING to do with the performance

  • Her voice isnt really suited for this genre, but i really like this performance.

  • Su voz es sorprendente, lo que la hace diferente es que no comerciliza con su imagen ni se atropella por la moda, maneja un estilo sencillo sin insinuaciones. Gran cantante

  • ellas version is not my cup of tea - alanis did a great job!

  • Really nice.

  • this song is not suited to her style, I like alanis but this sounds horrible compared to Ella and the jazz greats versions.

  • weee I LOVE HER VOICE SOO MUCH! this song is sooo CUTE TOO! ahah thanks for the Uplaod!

  • AMAZING her voice...other singers make playback while she sings live...totally awesome, adore herrrrrrrrrrr

  • i love it. she is cute.and her voice is great as always

  • After hearing Ella Fitzgerald sing this, other versions seem...lame, dull, kinda ordinary. But I still absolutely love Alanis! And I respect her for going outside of her genre & comfort zone and actually giving a good performance!

  • im sorry to say she looks awkward there

  • true true...maybe cuz she is on the view & is scared that star jones is gonna eat her

but i love this song...its my favorite part of the movie :) & Alanis voice is perfect :)
