pixiechop, the girl on the piebald is a good rider, but she needs to let go of his mouth and not yank him then he will not refuse all the time. and no most people cant ride like pros, but we do know not to yank a horses mouth when u jump srryyy if the comments annoyed u :)

yeah, I broke 5 ribs onetime, I didn't ride for like, a month and a half. I know how that is. My whole back and chest was black and blue for a week and I couldn't even eat lol xD yay for horses!
you guys are pretty good....just dont sit back so soon cus that mite be the proble with the little paint pony...she is sitting back too soon over the jump which is pulling at his mouth when he is still in the air and that hurts him...just be more gentle with your jumping and dont be so stiff it hurts the horses be loose its supposed to be fun! the you and your horse will have a better ride and bond=]
And you dont acctually need to protect your horses legs while jumping at mone, its upto the rider. It isn't needed on some ponies. And i think that you have been doing the right thing by making them (mostly the piebald) jump when he has refused or ran out. Its teaching the rider and the pony (:

The piebald looks like a typical school pony & id say is let away with refusing fences ect. The girl who was riding him has a lovely transition on the fences and I would say rides other horses much better. Girl on the grey if you try collect your canter coming up to the bigger fences so that you get the strides right rather then letting him get in so deep to the fence, but well done lovely position over the fence. Good job girls keep it up

Also when you put the jumps up at the end, you shouldn't be troting towards them (piebald)! They must be 3ft high at least, so you should canter! If your not confident enough to canter over bigger jumps, then start small and work up. Not trying to be picky, but just think about it!

You are absolutely right. People are SO clueless when it comes to jumping, it's unreal. And the trainers are below average. ANYONE can call themselves a trainer and teach people all kinds of ridiculous methods. It's sad for the horse and pathetic for the rider. sigh. The USJA is currently undergoing a certification process where FINALLY, people will actually HAVE to get certified to teach jumping. Should be implemented in June 09.

I feel sorry for those horses, especially the poor paint! That pulling on the reins! I hope the same is going to happen to the rider one day! Didn't anybody tell you guys that pulling on reins doesn't solve issues like that?

The girl on the skewbald pony was absoutely fanstastic!Even when the pony backed up from the jump,she got her in control and gathered her up and jumped really well!!!All the best for the future!x
haha that little pinto pony seems like a bit of a brat lol. I used to ride a pony that used to do that no matter how hard i pushed him to the jump he was like "nope" lol. My horse is only 3 and I just got him so I can't wait until summer when I can start teaching him how to jump.

aww, the small pony jumping that big jump was good! i wouldn't think he'd be able to, but im not very brainy with horses though, i've only been riding about a year and a half. But i'm learning fast! nice jump, the grey is beautiful!

thank you for your comment. yeah the grey is knuckles, hewas tired that day tho lol.the piebald was trotting into the jumps because when we cantered her into them she ran out to the side so we trotteed her in t show her is ok...

tip 4 the girl on the piebald, do not tear his mouth open, cos its a good way to teach a horse not to jump, try using her legs instead, he is obviously a bit scared of something!!!! but well done to you all anyway great work!!!!

like the gray horse looks amazing and the rider lookedgood too. but the paint what what was up with that i mean sheloiked steared the horse out of the jump,then when the big jump came she like fell so far forward on the jump but how come the horse in the black didn't jump like u she only did little tiny x's

Very nice looking horses :) I like the grey, but the pinto pony rocks and the rider is quite good and relaxed over the fences! Good job :)

wow, at the beginning i was like oh great another ammature rider putting her videos on, but your good. a tip for the person on the paint pony is keep her eyes up over the fence, but just the same you are all good riders. I wish we could remember to take my camera out to the stables so that we coukd actually get a good jump on video.

The girl on the skewbald pony was absoutely fanstastic!Even when the pony backed up from the jump,she got her in control and gathered her up and jumped really well!!!All the best for the future!x

haha that little pinto pony seems like a bit of a brat lol. I used to ride a pony that used to do that no matter how hard i pushed him to the jump he was like "nope" lol. My horse is only 3 and I just got him so I can't wait until summer when I can start teaching him how to jump.
