  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • Nice shooting! But I think a better music would help, the one you chose gets boring and too repetitive I think.

  • This is beautiful. You definitely got the film look down shooting it digitally. Great job!

Now I know what kind of camera to buy.

  • 1:14 snooki?

  • @ThaTKidDreW93 No clue buddy :). I was just testing out my camera. Friend of yours?

  • @Particlefountain haha, im just saying cause its a close resemblance. But no not my friend

  • i'am a proud 5d mark ii user :) but u make me look like crap! i will follow your work and get better with time great shooting !!!!!

  • @ricoskitso Hey! hush! this was my first video! but thanks lol. I say it's good to find the right music and to time it right I guess, and the lenses too! my fav is the 135 2.0L!, very limited uses, hands down best portrait lens and it's damn sharp at f2!. I'm just in love with it lol. Anyhoo names Kyle! nice to meet you bud!, I shall follow you too ^_^.

  • Hi there, just bought the canon 5D- I'm going to lay the cards down, I like night /people photography, & film look footage, what lens would you recommend ? Just to get me going. Cheers

  • What's the music?

Anyways, great camera, I'm using the Canon T3i, but thinking about using this for an upcoming film.

  • @ColtSegura Thank you :) it's Aphex Twin - Icct Hedral (Philip Glass Orchestration) :). T3i is a great camera!, though I think it still limits accurate wb adjustments by Kelvin, and has 1 stop iso steps.

  • it POPS! if I was using the same lenses, could I get the same results from my new canon 60d? Anyone? If yes YAY, if no, can someone please explain to m why so I can understand? I thought they used the same sensor.

  • @yeseverymomentcounts Well you wouldn't get the exact same results, the 5D is full frame thus offers more shallow depth of field compared to cropped bodies. Cropped bodies are anything but the 5D and 1DS series. The 5D sensor is much larger compared to the APS-C sensors typically found in other dslr's.

You won't get the same low light performance either, but you get the benefit of shooting at 60fps at 720p which I cannot. I recommend you get a 50mm 1.4-1.8 and an 85 1.8 for shallow DoF :)

  • thats sharp and the colours stand out well. great depth of field effects too. thumps up from me

  • Dammit, now I am super torn. I wanted the Canon 7D....then I heard that the 5d Mark II will have the firmware upgrade to allow 24fps.... but then someone told me that I am better off with a Nikon D700 because the photo quality is much better.... :(

Tell me honestly, have you EVER felt the photos coming out of your 5D are subpar, or could be better? Or do you think that I will be 100% happy (plus the video of course which is a big bonus for me)?

  • Not hardly anyone notices the camera. No red light on the front makes it easy to shoot incognito!

  • Nice video!!! I just got a canon 5d mark ii myself and new to cs4. I'm having trouble with what Adobe premiere pro cs4 export settings to use and still obtain the image quality of raw. May I ask what setting you would use? I tried playing with different export settings and they all turn out bad. =(

  • the quality of this camera is truly amazing... and at 24 fps..ouf. I need to start saving!

Also, Montreal is awesome! Love it here haha ;D

  • @idreamtofflight Thanks bud!, you're in Montreal too? kick ass!. A great cheaper alternative would be the T2i, it has some limitations such as 1 stop iso adjustments and set white balance settings, so no kelvin degree adjustments for perfect color matching, and for the iso, it can be limiting, so no shooting at 640 iso etc.

Thanks man, this was my first kinda big video lol, a test but still!, I'm gonna do more come this summer ^_^

  • @idreamtofflight oh you go to Dawson too!? I'm taking commercial photography at Dawson :). Night time, I'll be at the public critiques in 2 weeks :). I would be presenting my portfolio then but I decided to take another semester to present an even better one :). What are you taking?

  • @Particlefountain I'm in arts and culture at the moment, but I plan on taking commercial photography at night as well when I finish with a&c, haha! What's commercian photography like?
