you must have seriously limited music horizons - Anne Franco is an egomaniac stuck up on herself. Every song she sings is about me, me, me. Is she even here in reality? Take both hands and burn her albums. She is boring. This goes for all you fans who can't actually articulate why she's good, you just follow the bandwagon. Posers. Her egomusic isn't dying fast enough.

It's funny that you say most of her songs are about herself when, in fact, most of her songs are very political. And most artists tend to draw from their own lives as inspiration for their music. I love Ani, and if she wants to make a gorgeous song about her life, then I, and all of her fans, are beyond willing to listen.

The idea that all musical taste should be justified in an intellectual sense is rather silly don't you think? I mean, I can understand what you are saying, and when applied to the kind of rapid fanbase that never questions their favourite artist, it even makes sense. However, to lay down such a blanket statement as "She is boring. I dig the fact that you took this opportunity to promote such as fine artist as Michael Franti. I really enjoy his music. However, I enjoy him for a diffirent reason than Ani. Franti is a poetically excellent artist who uses his words to affect change, an excellent use of music on the public stage. Ani creates scenarios based around characters the reflect the emotions felt by many people.
Now, I see what you are saying about her lyrics, but that is more of a literary critisim than anything.
