You can place blocks in lava if you are carefull enough!You just do it in a little different way.

i got a sunfury from a friend of me and he helped me to get fiery great sword and molten pickaxe and i used that method to dig all the way down to hell like straight down:D its just a loong drop but you need lucky horseshoe:P

@117starpower Um...not to be a prick or anything, but technically the Nightmare Pickaxe is fastest. The Molten Pickaxe may be stronger, but factor in the speed, and the MP is slower then the NP. I tested this with my friends on a server, I got down faster then them with the NP whereas he had the MP

Or you could por water onto your house make barriers at the end and duplicate water and i will be a house underwater :D
