  • Is this available to purchase on MP3 ?

  • oh man, such a choooon!! my 12" still safe in the crate :0

  • Danced some amazing nights to this track.. The lights..The Ladies.. The laughs.. Genuine classic (in my opinion)

  • stop bitchin maybe you don´t like it because it was way ahead its time.

  • lets face it, if this was pumpin thru the woofers at 4am, you deffo get up and do some wigglin', i know i would , Jah bless :)

  • @boneybum11 Wank?? obviously you didn´t live through the 90´s.

  • @0Imtheslime0 m8 im 37 years old,i spent the late 80s and all through the 90s clubbing in mansfield, nottingham and derby, also travelled around the country to lots of festivals and actually worked in renaissance from 91-93 when it was based in mansfiled at venue 44 as the lighting engineer so i do have i bit of a idea about the 90s,dont get me wrong though,i do like alot of MAW's stuff but this tune just doesn't do it for me and i do apologize if my comment offended you...

  • @boneybum11 non taken..

  • @boneybum11 ,,,yes i have to agree this tune is not all that and i do have loads of maw stuff in my record collection much better than this,am 47 now and was on the dance scene from 1980s had some big lose the plot nights with sasha n digweed at venue 44 only shelleys stoke was better ( friday and saturday) i stopped clubbin and collecting rcords 2002 cos it got boring and the drugs dont work,,,,lol

  • @boneybum11 all that experience doesn't warrant knowledge on what's good or not, just shows you've probably just become desensitized to some of it.

  • @boneybum11 i think maw themselves would admit this was a filler track for bounce on the other side but i do think it has a certain charm that grows on you every time you listen. a sure fire sign of a classic , even if unitentional

  • One of the best House musics i ever put hands on. Uses sample of Fila Brazillia -"Hells Rarebit"

  • Or .....they use the same sample...don't know the origin...

  • This track is so underated. In my book its a classic.

  • MAW is dead in terms of a partnership but so what?? Their legacy is hundreds of classic remixes and house tracks. You can see how they put their sounds together from a track like this. A little industrial experimentation in the middle but they kept it soulful throughout. They don't do these kinds of tracks anymore because they already did them!! People need to leave alone the idea that "what was done has to still be done." Get over it-and enjoy these classics. Let's groove.

  • Classy tune mate, cheers for sharin'

  • Samples Bob James - Feel like making love

  • good feelings arrived

  • I bought this record because of Side A. Don't know the name of that track now, but it made me fell in love with deep house.

  • @ryanmeursing The Bounce

  • all Kenlous tunes are class

  • You can tell this production had a very Roy Ayers influence to it.

  • louie vega was an amazing producer, all of the house music that is coming out of europe now at the moment is heavily influenced by MAW an Strictly Rhythm,

I think one of louie' s finest pieces of work is his Ravin mix of Barbara Tuckers Stay Together which never got an official release, it is unbelivable!!!!!

  • @sojak08 Also the dubs of Bjork's "Violently Happy" and St. Etienne's "Only Love..."

@OneMixDJ This is the way true house sounds, like it or not. Many artists still make some music in this style, though with modern equipment (obviously). Think Ben Watt and The Revenge.

  • @sastal Haven't heard Ben Watt for some time or the Buzzin' Fly material. But no way is The Revenge near this. I love the man's edits on L.E.S.S but his house and remixes are plain dull. No offense but i have heard many of his releases.. they go nowhere..

  • @0Imtheslime0 I cannot speak about The Revenge's early stuff, but his last album of remixes featuring Gwen McCrae is a good effort and classic in spirit (IMHO). Now that you offered me the opportunity, after writing the post above, a much better example came to mind: Prince Language. If you have not heard him, I have a nice long mix to share. Very old-skool-like, contemporary house in his set.

  • @sojak08 I used to belt that to death. The way it develops the acid riff is lovely.

  • 3:23 makes me wanna dance my tits off! pressssssssssssssure, might remix it and make that bit last all night!

  • keep coming back to this...........love it

    hairs cant stand any straighter!

  • Classic track.

  • This can be a nice valentine day song as well.

  • Been searching for this track for TIME. Didnt know the name or anything until a few months ago. So glad I found it. :D :D :D :D. My Sh*t right here baby !

  • even high quality doesnt do shittttt.

  • Although I have more recent tracks by MAW, I have to admit that I see them a bit too much what's considered the "soulful" side of house. I also see this with Blaze as well. And it's sad because these guys are part of the group of pioneers that literally defined what house is. I love MAW and will always be a fan, but they need to balance the "soul" with the "ummph" and need to equally drive efforts that go back to hitting people through the cranium with sounds that make people just lose it.

  • I agree mate..

  • In their defence, they are getting older. The change of direction is a clear reflection of that and explains why they've been leaning towards the more soulful side of house. If you want to hear more of that good ol' banging house they used to release...revisit their old classics! ;)

  • that's spot on. we mustn't forget that they've 'been there done that' with their more beats orientated work in the early 90s. They are pioneers and produce what they are into at the time. my favourite MAW stuff is the early to mid 90s. legends

  • Could not agree more! I've never really been a fan of souful/vocal house to begin with so everything you just said I wish MAW would go back to. With house, it is all about the beat more so than the vocals.

  • "anyone can write a vocal" Blaze

  • @OneMixDJ indeed, they are too.......dunno........soft

  • @OneMixDJ ...I totaly agree!

  • They Sampled, or at least Re-Created Bob James Sample Of Nautilus on this one. Have you heard their version of that same Bob James Track? Look Up Nuyorican Soul-Mawtilus. One of the Best Covers I've Ever Heard In My LIFE!!!

  • No not nautilus,,,,

    "Feels like making love"

  • Classic indeed. I hate to say it, but MAW don't make music like this any more.

  • I haven't heard anything from MAW for years. The duo has gone separate ways years ago and are doing their own projects. MAW records is pretty much dead or on ice.

  • : ) nice nice

  • i have this record!!! this is "THE" house music

  • Me too. most people loved the other side, but I prefered this track. With the break you could go anywhere

  • ahhh, yes i agree with your discours. the new house movement is cold... the old is really HOT

  • classic, i love it, 1995 ♥ ♪♫
