The important things is the existence of Turkish Republic borders, and IT being rightfully a sovereign republic within it's borders specified legally by the UN. @TrMhMt Kurds in Turkey are punished for calling themselves Kurds or speaking Kurdish.
Kurdistan was the home of the Medes empire. Kurdistan is the place where Kurds and some other ethnicities reside, although it isn't an official state or anything(except in Iraqi Kurdistan KRG).
