Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric boat lift on the Yenisei River was built in 1976 and launched in 1982. It is Russia's only boat lift. It is situated at the junction of the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric dam (height exceeding 100 meters) to the left bank of the Yenisei River.
Boat lift in action - an incredible sight. Especially when you stand under the overpass, and the machine of eight thousand tons of floats majestically above your head, sprinkling little water from the Yenisei River.
