  • Lol, This is in GTA IV

  • I agree with thevoiceofnow this is as near to the original as anyone could get, probably even JMJ, which is why the extended bit was good to hear. I hope you do not mind I downloaded this as a wav file using DVDsoft and I have listened to it on my Ipod many times..great stuff.

  • AMAZING!!!!

  • Amazing cover !! some of the sounds are quite identical !!! I have huge respect for people like you ...keep it up !

  • This is the BEST version! You are an inspiration! However any attempt on my part be all will be using digital CZ's!l

  • Excellent!!! & true to the original, thank you for waking my ears up early on a Sunday morning.

  • Will me screaming give you an idea of how impressed i am? I have no exclamation that fits...."AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH"

  • This is SO good!

I have made some real good jarre-covers in software synth and know how ard it is to get all the details.

Making all this on old analogs is just unbelieveble.

  • i usually don't like covers, but this is one of those rare exceptions... bravo maestro!

but this wasn't made in one take, right!?

  • I M P R E S S I O N A N T E

  • fantazija! za sva vremena! icredible!

  • excellent.. same perfection as original..

  • Troppo bello!!!!!! Veramente perfetto.... come quella del maestro Jean Michel Jarrè!!!

  • I absolutely love this - this is incredible of a cover - I almost thought it was the original.

  • Wow, this is almost as close as one could get to the original.

    nice extended part as well!

  • MINDBLOWING SO MOVING M8 WELL DONE I CANT FAULT THIS ITS AWESOME WISH I WAS THIS TALENTED

  • Great cover. Great sounds. What else? Ah, yes: thank you.

  • This is absolutely superb. I love analog. I'm a guitarist, and all my pedals are analog because they're so much warmer than digital. You have done a brilliant version of Oxygene. It's fantastic! Good work! :-)

  • Beautifully done.

  • You've done a brilliant job of this my friend.... I congratulate you.... Lovely to hear the old analogues ........

  • OHHH MAN I LOVE THIS<THE INSTRUMENT IN SPECIAL

  • AWESOME!

  • great song. really good cover. beautiful sounding gear. awesome. saving up for my own analog gear to add to my analog/digital synth studio. got more digital than analog synth. and its JUST NOT RIGHT :)

  • Dla MNIE BOMBA!!!! Jean zrobiłeś kawał dobrej roboty!!!!

  • I salute you for what is so much more than 'just' a cover. You expanded on the original in a way that is highly creative yet perfectly aligned with the overall atmosphere of the original. Listening to your rendition of this track is like entering an alternative reality that is close to, yet different from ours.

  • @PercivalFromWales Thank you for this comment, that is a very interesting point of view. One of the best comments as yet :-)

  • Awesome :-)

  • GREAT!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

  • Hey, couldn't you possibly make a lossless audio file for us? I would like very much to have your version in better quality audio...

  • @jjmourajr I can send you a high definition mp3 if you give me your email address.

  • I was just wondering why you have showed the Smarties on the video clip... maybe because they are "vintage" stuff as well? :D

  • Having listened to his complete original album and listened to various covers on Youtube, I have to say, your's is miles ahead of the rest, I could have easily mistaken it for the original! As others say it's a shame we couldn't see you play all the instruments! Possibly if you ever feel like re-doing it, you could multi-track using video! i.e. you record yourself playing each part and then put the video parts together to make the final track! Look at pbpproduction's channel for examples

  • Loved it!

  • PERFECT! You did a very great job on this and i want to congratulate and thank you for this very nice Version of Jarre´s work and your extensions!

I am a dont-know-how-long-yeared fan of Jarre´s Music and didnt mention first 2 minutes that it´s not him...

  • well done mate

  • Fantastic cover! So close, I was skeptical at first!

  • awesome job done on this cover, you can be proud :)

  • show, show, show !!!

    nota 1000 x 1000.

    maravilhosos teclados.

    5 estrelas.

  • i love synthetsizers

  • Awesome... :-)

  • great cover, excellent work mate, :)

  • Really good work !

Maybe the sound for the Chorus could be better (with an additive synth like original sound ??) but... it's very close to the 'real' Oxygen...

    Congratulations !! :o)

  • Haha! Typical extended version like in the 70s and 80s with a longer ending of a song. Very good idea, very good work!

  • Good Job! Just one question, did you eat the sweets afterwards?

  • @donpepperoni0 not the ones you see in the video. But I had enough of them around... :-)

  • Very very nice.

  • PERFECT !!!

  • bloddy fantastic should be released on a cd wht he never did one at the time is beyond me well done where ever you are in the world

  • Hats off.

  • Great! Now I'm craving M&Ms. :-)

  • @xnonsuchx Make no mistake, those are Smarties :-D

  • @AnalogAudio1 - I knew they weren't M&Ms because of a few non-M&M colors (pink?), but they looked like them at first glance and that's what made me crave them. Awesome equipment you have there, BTW! I used to own a Moog Prodigy, a Moog Memorymoog Plus and a Jupiter-6 way back before the techno scene made them super-valuable and I sold them off. Now my only analog is an AKAI AX80...but I want more knobs/sliders (and it has no glide or OSC sync). :-(

  • Isn't this in GTA 4?

  • NICE STUFF!!!!

  • All I can say is... wow! Incredible job reproducing this classic!

  • Hi! Very, very perfect remake! 10/10

Could you please tell me how you made the extreme flexing sound at 1:36 (and 2:57...)?

  • WOW!!!

Micromoog?

    Geiles Video!!!

  • SUPER JEAN MICHEL J'ADORE TA MUSIQUE,ENCORE BRAVO 100.000 FOIS,A BIENTOT DE LA PART DE DIDIER DE LA BELGIQUE.

  • Big-big congratulation !!! That's wonderful!

I would look at it with pleasure how you did it !

Seeing these wonderful synthesisers live would be good !!!!

    All of my acknowledgements !!!

  • Like original, fantastic. 5/5

  • A pity no video of the performance. Would have liked to have seen the actual equipments in use.

  • @skbworld2008 it's not possible to play all sounds simultaneously by one person. It is a multi track recording.

  • @AnalogAudio1 i'm pretty sure jean michael jarre himself used hit giant sequencer and other stuff for the missing hands.. ;)

  • Hi!

Well done. A really good job you did! What about this mp3 File? Where to download? Thank' s a lot!

  • @filstalmedia Hi, I can send you a high definition MP3 if you write me your email adress. There is no other source to download this track.

  • @AnalogAudio1

where do you get that type of keyboard support that is juno 60 and what name

    thanks, great cover

  • Comment removed

  • What a cute idea to use the dragees to decorate the synths!

  • SUPERBE !!! to hear the original analog sounds

  • Absolutely GREAT!

  • Fantastic job ! like the original sound Whooa ! and what a great keyboard you have !

  • Is there anywhere on the internet to read about the gear used in different synth songs? For example if i wish to know what Ryan Paris used in "Dolce vita"? :D

  • Fantastic work here!!

Is there a High definition MP3 to download of this?

And i must say, I'm totally DYING to hear a remake of Zoolookologie the same way =) please answer to this. You're great!

  • Impressive work! Awesome!

  • great job ! One question: i also have a Korg Minipops 7, but for this rythm there is still the percussions sounds we did not hear in Oxygene 4. Do you filtering the box to remove those sounds, or something else maybe ?? You see what i mean ?

One other thing: for original Eminent strings, i think there is also a bit of flanger (electric mistress) togethere with the Small Stone...

  • @ZiGouji Thanks! Of course, the sound of the Minipops was treated with a noise gate and eq. Like JMJ did. For my ears, there is no flanger on the Eminent.

  • @AnalogAudio1 Ok ! So it's noise gate & Eq, great :)

Sorry but, i'm sure that there is flanger on the Eminent ! Listen when it's chorus time... There is another thing with the Small Stone !

  • THIS SONG IS SO UNBELIEVABLE! 1973. de pinga

  • Ok,

    Here's one for ya.

Can ANYONE name EVERY keyboard seen in this video?

I can try but I know I won't get them all.

  • Very well done, only the sound from 1:36 on hurts in my ears because its to sharp an thin. Instead of the Micromoog with Electric Mistress i would recommend to use a Korg DSS-1 which has additive synthesis + analog filters like the RMI.

  • @Wurdarborn the sharpness of the sound comes from Youtube data reduction. In original, this sound sounds much better and not sharp at all...

  • Very well done, only the sound from 1:36 on hurts in my ears because its to sharp an thin. Instead of the Micromoog with Electric Mistress i would recommend to use a Korg DSS-1 which has additive synthesis + analog filters like the RMI.

  • A man born with such a genious about music, thank God for Jean and you for this vieo

  • This is really the best version i have ever heard !! excellent :o)

    Greetings from belgium , Albert

  • The very best cover of oxygene 4 anyone is likely to see on YT:) you've got those korg drum machines too...damn you lol:) seriously excellent work, you nailed it . Your maxi version helped me get a handle on the percussion which i never got exactly right, but because you isolated them from the original it was a great help. Thankyou so much.

  • amazing job, wish I had that kind of equipment

  • Dude, you nailed it! Very very good cover version of Oxygene IV.

    Awesome!

  • I would've liked to see you actually play this, it's just unbelievably close to the original.

  • Very, very good cover. 5/5

  • Dude , like we say in french "j'en reste bouche bée". It's amazing how close you managed to get to JMJ's original sound, fantastic work. A question , which synth and which osc/filter/effet did you use on the sound that appears at 1:36 ?

  • @AmarrStriker Thank you... This is a Micromoog lead sound with a effect from the Electro-Harmonix Electric Misstress.

  • @AnalogAudio1 bad news, I can't afford buying any external effect. thanks for your answer anyways :)

  • @AnalogAudio1 this is spot on! great job but the only thing that is slightly off is that the part with the electric mistress and the micromoog is that its too strong but other than that, its PERFECT.

  • @TheFloydGiver thanks... indeed, it is almost impossible to duplicate this sound, if you don't have a original RMI...

  • @AnalogAudio1 that or you have to be some super synthesizing master who spends all of his days perfecting it.

  • Absolutely my favourite Oxygene IV cover. Fantastic. Your maxi version is superb.

  • This is simply amazing

  • that is play in real time for you or this is a the cd of jarre?

  • Sorry, the sound of the white noise isn't quite right... ;P

Seriously man, that is FABULOUS work! My hat off to you! Well done Sir!

  • a-ma-zing

  • a master work of synthesis, congratulations

  • sounds better then the real thing almost. impressive!.

  • that sound if JMJ had made it!! Wonderful work of you. Could you do that with Equinox??

  • @biglover70 maybe... :-)

  • Man! That's very impressive work you did, especially when compared to JMJ Oxygene anniversary concerts and DVD "Oxygene: Live in your living room". Hats off!

  • @haloblender not you, I assume... ;-)

This is not just another cover - this is a cover made as a maxi version, that actually does not exist.

  • Hi Radek, Excelent!! how did you do the secuence sound over the minipops..I think the original was an harmonic RMI.

and your solo sound is great too did you put a small tone flanger? ) let me know something,..thanks

  • @uritorco77 I am not Radek! Who is Radek??!

The sequence was by a Micromoog. Solo sound was with EH Electric Mistress.

  • I`m very sorry dude, I tought your name is Radek. Thanks for sharing. just one thing else..do you know the original sounds, where does they came from? Ox4 lead (ARP2600?, secuence over minipops ( ??) and solo (RMI ?) thank you very much my friend, your work it`s impressive !!

  • @uritorco77 thanks! Please read the description on the right side - it answers your questions.

  • @AnalogAudio1 I think that people assume you are the 'Radek Tymecki' character because of the way that YOUTUBE (Yeah YOU, YOUTUBE! -not you AA1!) have changed (messed up!) the overall commenting system.

This work is simply incredible and I am not surprised that Jean Michel has given his approval! The quality of your rendition is superb and sound quality is flawless. Bravo to you! Bring on Equinoxe and show the world (and JMJ!) how skilled you are!

  • Simply amazing, wish i had those synths....

  • sounds almost exactly like original goo job

  • Very nice! Have always been a fan of this track. You've sussed all the patches and if you wanted you could do some killer remixes. Five stars.

  • this sounds exactly like the original, its fantastic, 1000******** great.

  • I've seen many of your videos, simply awesome! When JMJ be sick he'll call you to fill in for him.

  • @duperdude25 Thanks! I hope, Jean-Michel Jarre reads this... :-)

  • I really enjoyed listening to this. I have to say, you have a very good ear - the individual sounds you have used are exactlly the same. Even the speed of the phaser effect seems to dip and rise the same as the original. You must be very pleased with end result. Any plans to cover any other Jarre tracks, something from Equinoxe maybe?

  • @thomsk thanks... yes, maybe I will cover other Jarre music - other parts of Oxygene or Equinoxe - when I have a little more time. I already covered OXYGENE part 1 (see my vids).

  • brilliant music

  • music brilliant but i didn't think much to video

  • That's depressingly good - if only playing this sort of stuff could be your day job :)

  • One word - outstanding! Thanks for sharing.

  • GREAT !!!! *****

  • übelst krass .. respekt ..

  • Wow!! It sounds almost as the original!!

  • awe-some.

  • would of been nice to see some live playing!..great stuff..but maybe next time some actual vids of the recording and playing..

  • Thanks...

but note, this is a 8-track recording - it's not possible to perform it live. You can't play 8 parts on five instruments at once. Everything is played by hand - recorded track by track.

  • great

  • AMAZING!!!!

I love the ARP Odyssey to!!!

  • great job

  • Very very cool cover. Amazing good job!

    * * * * *

  • This really is amazing!

How did you sync the Korg Minipops 7 with the Micromoog?

  • Very cool cover - like a real extended version from '76 congratulations.

  • Never heard this close from the original! Bravo! You've got such a great talent, finding right sounds and playing this well!

  • PERFECTO, MUY BUENO

  • Fantastic, very well done m8

  • Really great work --- I know how much you have to practice to get it just right. I am very grateful for such a nice job. Well Done!!!

  • Amazing...

  • The best cover I've ever heard - very close indeed to the original. Excellent!

  • This cover is amazin!!! keep up the good work......!!

  • Wonderful Cover! I also loved how you made it into a extended version. It's very clear that it's indeed necessary to use the original analog synths to get this sound! The only sound that nobody seems to be able to emulate is the RMI sound (1:36). I think that sound is unique to the RMI and can't be emulated on anything else. But you where closer that anything I've heard before!

  • Mensch!!

  • are those real pic of u?

  • cool!

    in my favorites!

  • WOW ! extremely close to the original !

    Great work !

The first ever electronic music I've herd (about 30 years ago), and I've been hocked ever since.

  • Well done! Nice gear.....

  • Nice, i went to a different window and when I opened the window I forgot I was listening to a cover. Well done.

  • Comment removed

  • WOW!!! This is very impressive..... good work!!!!

  • This is without a doubt the best Oxygene IV cover I have heard in a very long time, and I have heard a lot of covers.

It's amazingly detailed, had you slapped some footage of Jean Michel Jarre, I would have been fooled as to him playing, excellent job! :D

  • Loving this. Great lurking bass in the background

  • Hey Man great job... I just bought the Roland Juno G How can I get these sounds,,,

  • COOL, and well worth another listen!

    Cheers, BigHairyKev :)

  • great cover, near as dammit perfect.

  • very well done, great cover 5*

  • Good job, man.

  • Dude, this is seriously impressive. Kudos.

  • Excellent..........

  • Wow! Excellent video!

    You've got a nice studio too!:D

  • Unglaublich!

  • Great work. I like how you've incorporated some of the new lead notes that appear in the chorus sections, like in the new 30th anniversary version. Check out
