  • erm.... i think they should loose the violin and think up a beter riff 4 the bass and dont have soo many pitch changes in the vocals and get a guitarist:) the drumer is fne:) if they did all ov that i think they wud be pretty good:)

  • What would Simon Cowell think? Who cares what he thinks, cos this clip made me laugh, and smile and feel happy and care free and made me want to pick up a violin. This was bloody amazing.

  • now that i look at this 25 or so years later, i think its a mix of souixsie and toy dolls.

  • tina was so cute and small.saucy minx never wore panties.

  • saw them play with nightingales and ted chippington in the fulham greyhound in 1987 [I think?] they were just so having so much fun and kept swapping instruments. I remember standing at the bar talking to a rather dour fella who wasn't that impressed by them who then wandered on stage when they finished - he in fact Ted Chippington. Bostin.

  • I'm not sure I could make more of a racket than this even I tried to. Think about it.

  • I never noticed how John Cale that violin was back in the day - Such fun! I adored these ladies.

  • where is their version of Bohemian rhapsody?

  • Fuzzbox are classic. thanx for sharing!

  • @chaygavora You're most welcome.

  • @chaygavora delicious girls , rocking song

  • Precious! Thanks for sharing!

  • Before they got " tidied up", fab !

It's art Jim,just not as we know it.

  • WONDERFUL! They were really ahead of Chix on speed and MissKittin!

  • This is a fantastic celebration of youth, casual attitudes and beauty. It's as if nothing matters, and yet because they're so great looking [especially the singer], one can't ignore some sort of musical worth, and the sheer bravado of it.

  • gosh this is so bloooooody amazing

  • They were 16 when they did this, just out of school and doing what they wanted to do. Better than the mindless crap you get these days, oh by the way go and buy Vix new single

  • great to see Vix has a new single out see you tube for CRY WOLF released by damage control music from the little sister cd 2008 co-written and produced by robin george

  • lol you typed that like it was a surprise and you just happen to have the username damagecontrolmusic

  • I sorry,, But This Is Awful !!! High school -15 yearold's , can do better then this....

  • ok. then go do it.

  • brill

  • sex...drogs and bull shit :-))))

  • what a lovely band

  • THat was ssoooooogood!!!! If I was at that show I would have been slamm'in on the floor

  • I luv the stuff, but this is not it. I think if you drop acid the pain goes away from listing to this.=P

  • This is painful listening!

  • paulkazjack, I was right about to throw one back at you, but I see you like David Sylvian, so that redeems you. Haha.

You have to keep in mind too, how old were these girls? I think Vickie was like 17 (like me)...Still, their other stuff is good, I just don't know the original song they're covering.

  • Spirit In The Sky?

It was originally a No.1 for Norman Greenbaum, then a No.1 again for Doctor & The Medics & then No.1 again for Gareth Gates! And if Fuzzbox had put it to vinyl, I'm sure they'd have upheld the tradition!

  • they did put it to vinyl. twas a single.

  • Ok, I take it back! Although, to be fair, I didn't really think it'd get to No.1.

  • Great band with great tunes, but they let themselves down a bit when playing live.

  • It's not always about knowing your chords!

  • Interesting...electric violin instead of

    electric guitar...

  • Wow...the Old Grey Whistle Test in the UK...

    quite a while ago!

Thanks for remembering this cute band. I saw

them in the States,at the Roxy Theater,in

    West Hollywood,CA...about late 1987...

"Fuzzbox" here is reminiscent of The Shaggs,

    LOL!!

  • I'M IN LOVE WITH THEM

  • I totally love Maggie....and Tina had the greatest mohawk I have ever seen....Thanks for the post.

  • Brilliant! LOVE them!

  • brilliant !!!!!!!!!!!

  • had this on vinyl, smuggler. "love is the slug" is top notch pop. and the girls are "wull fett." nice.

  • Great girls and great early performances, but where did Jo put that bag that's supposed to be on her head? ;)

  • This is how i remember them from the great goth clubs of the 80's in Brum !!!!!.Great look and their own unique sound kicked arse !!!! :)

  • great band and time.saw them life on their "BOSTIN`STEVE AUSTIN"tour in cologne.small club, big fun.guess it was about 87.and somewhere i still have a tape of this concert.

  • Quality band. One of the finest things to come out of Brum since Ozzy!

  • woo yeah!

  • SPIRIT IN THE SKY...?

    Try the original

  • Norman's original version was great but this is just so much more fun. At least the girls are not goat farming now... or are they?!

  • vix is performing again and there's talk of a reunion but thats been going on for at least 10 years

  • Best band name ever.

  • the one on in the pink hair is my dads cousion!! :)

  • She's singing it like was she called Mari Wilson? who sang 'Mr Telephone man'.She's singing it ( singing !;-) ) in that style.

  • Hey nonny nonny, she's just-a doing her thang!

(I hope you get that or it's just gonna look stupid!)

  • I know what you mean! ;-)

  • seriously, learn to spell cousin. cushion suggests she was something else to your dad.

  • WHICH one with the pink hair. In the vid it looks like they all have pink or purple hair. Are you talking about Vickie, with the violin? Because if that's so, then I'm ashamed to say I masturbate to your dad's cousin...:p

  • @ooJaydeeoo Wouldn't that mean she is also your cousin?

  • @BeatriceBlue Second cousin (I think).

  • Great stuff. Music isn't so daring these days!

  • coool

Spice girls were never on old grey whistle tesT! hehe

  • Probably because Spice Girls were a cheap product with no originality, and Grey Whistle Test was reserved for REAL artists...

  • COOL!
