i guess I look at how he is now. Search for Ted Haggard interview, and listen to how he talks openly open his homosexual feelings, how he has gotten counseling. So now he is being open. I guess "bringing yourself into the light" can happen in multiple ways, open confession, or it being forcibly exposed.

You're totally right that he was found out. He tried to hide everything for a long time I guess, and all he was doing was exposed, by others and not by him.
i guess I look at how he is now. Search for Ted Haggard interview, and listen to how he talks openly open his homosexual feelings, how he has gotten counseling. So now he is being open. I guess "bringing yourself into the light" can happen in multiple ways, open confession, or it being forcibly exposed.

I would not doubt that Haggard has some essential flaw as a human being... It wouldn't even be weird if he was a sociopath, or something to that extent. He does have that way of lying and persuading, hiding all the bigotry and falseness behind a crooked smile and strange paranoid eyes...
I feel this way for every single person who has the need to show that he has changed, or who he is to the media. It's just an image that will change for the worse over time...

I'll post this reply after having watched some of the things he said. I feel it in my gut, intuition that he hasn't changed. Most of the body language I see reeks of lies... He seems to want to appear to be through with it all, but he obviously isn't. He says "lifes a process".. it's probably gonna take me another year to fully sort this out. I am a hetereosexuals with complications... I stopped having homosexual thoughts one year ago. I know alot o' guys going through the same thing.

If you don't want to forgive him, and be mad at him - certainly I can't make you and it's your choice (and I don't really have a reason to be upset). No doubt what he did was wrong, lying and everything. It's up to you. I forgive him, and from the interviews I've seen of him a year or more after the incident - I have hope for his redemption, that he can change, and do good in the world. That's all.

It may be only so much talk, but Haggard told him that she "gets crazy" like he does. You really never know. But the louder someone speaks out against such things, the greater the odds seem to be they are being hypocrites.
